This game is being vastly underrated. Every video I have seen has shown some amazing elements. I have played 2K15 and after viewing this series of videos..I truly hope that people give this game a chance. It actually sounds great! Sorry but not sorry...I'm buying this #Live15 #LiveisBack

Exactly! I see people say there's no defense, it's too easy to score etc but all that can be tuned by a patch and/or other ways. I see this game as a huge milestone for EA. This game looks and seems like fun. I can't say that after watching and playing 2k. It's the same over and over again and it's just tweaked and more crappy poibtless storylines every year

Re: NBA Live 15 Gameplay Videos - Rising Star, Live Ultimate Team & More

I think the first thing that I thought after watching several unedited gameplay videos, was that it's the first time in a while (quite a while) that the game doesn't deserve comments like "WTH is that?! Why is that even on next-gen? Why did they even release it???". Not a great game yet, but at least it's a legitimate release (unlike their 2 unreleased ones and last year's title).

Some not-so-realistic aspects, but that's ok, I guess they decided to go with the more "hey it's a video game, let's make it fun" attitude. I think the main issue is that Live 14 was the base, so I'm not sure if animations are ever going to look great on this generation. But at least it's (well, seems like it's) playable and can create some exciting/fun moments.

I'll have to use one of the most over-used (and annoying) phrases used to describe NBA Live on last-gen: It's a step in the right direction.

Game is definitely fun....I find myself wanting to play more of it...the trial wasn't enough, lol

It deserves to stand on its own 2 this year....so we shouldn't waste time on forced comparisons to 2k...no need to justify your decision. We need to be getting feedback to the devs so they can put in some fixes to make this game even better...

There are definitely some cool touches in Live, but graphically it just is not very impressive. Hopefully Live 16 can take another big step, because these cool details in the game are a good start.

Edit: Read through the thread, and am seeing a lot of praise for how the game looks. I just don't see it, unless it's in comparison to last year.

WOW...EA actually fixed those crouching running animations. Those courts and presentation look sick. Only thing that feels off is the player models they all look like they been going to the gym but only on shoulder day hitting rear delts. Some of the faces need work but this game is a big improvement compared to what I saw before. Does live have sliders?

IDK if its just because its different and fresh, but I personally do like the overall art style of the game. From the player models, to the arenas. Yes the players are lean, but basketball players in general are typically lean.
It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.

The arenas, shoes, courts and all that are fantastic IMO...always have been...

My issues graphically are with every thing involving the player. I've always praised Live for the way their colors 'pop' but colors look so washed out this year...it's odd but the pictures in Live 14's photographic threads pictures look a lot sharper to me than this year. A lot of the non scanned faces are pretty bad as well..

All this at the end of the day is minor because I'm not a huge graphic head, but I'm not getting the WOW feeling graphic wise that some seem to be expressing.

Different strokes...nothin wrong with that

I think lighting is adjusted in the day 1, plus I'm on ps4 so it may be a tad different on here. I'm in love with the graphics.

Edit, other than the non scanned faces anyway.

simulation game versus arcade gameeveryone chooses a side. 2k has arcade elements can you play in the park but after my 6 hours with NBA Live this game is not going for any kind of realism I guess this is their way of separating themselves from the competition to allow more unrealistic fun than simulation gameplay

obviously with the popularity of the park mode there is room for both game styles

Live's arena sounds and atmosphere are always been great, glad they didn't change a thing. Animation and graphics has improved. They just need add more animations and clean up some of the current animations and they will be golden. Also, if they can scale the players a tad bigger, that would be perfect. They seems small on the court.
