    Is it possible....?

Is it possible to hit for average in RTTS using timing hitting?

I'm currently playing on veteran with TNK's sliders and timing hitting and I can't even hit .200 this year and barely hit .220 my previous season. I have good pitch recognition and I'm drawing walks, making contact, good timing and nothing. I have my plate vision at 98 and my contact is currently at 76 and 75 respectively. I'm not asking to hit .300 with my current contact ratings but i know should be hovering around .260 atleast!

Every game I get 2-3 at bats where I swing at good pitches but end up with nothing. And before someone says switch to zone where you have more control, I've tried zone. Doesn't work for me. And I shouldn't have to switch batting modes to hit.

So I'm asking....are people actually hitting for average in RTTS with timing hitting and similar stats to mine? Should I just concede and take the .200 average and wait until i get 99 in both contacts so i can hit .250?

Nothing to do with your stats per se. Timing hitting has not been effective since 2012 version of the game. 13 and 14 have the PCI being way too random to be a consistent hitter. You're better off using zone hitting.

nope will start either extremely hot/cold and over course of year PCI placement will be so random to start getting your avg in junction with ratings

It's actually funny that you say that. I bought last years game but hardly played it because I couldn't get anywhere with timing hitting and I couldn't understand it. The previous year, 2012, I was having fun and played multiple seasons with my position player. Hitting for average based on my stats.

Nice to know I'm not crazy haha.
