NCAA game editing: Obtaining/Creating hometown database
Does anyone have/know-how-to-get a database with all the hometowns in the game and their unique ID values?
I was hoping someone like PocketScout, Xanathol or Khaliib might know how to extract the hometowns from the file saves and match them up with unique ID numbers that EA uses to define them in the CSV files.
Why is this of value?
1) I want to explore changing the number of recruits per state, maybe even making an app that would allow you to edit recruits per state on a mass level.
2) For those of is who use geography for recruiting, particularly geographic house rules, you need a quick way to filter CSV/excel files for recruits for their hometown and state.
All I need is a DB index for each town and unique ID. If there is no way to extract it with an editor, I will have to make one manually, which is something like 3000 entries.
I am not being lazy here. I have done a lot of research on this, having read every page of several different editing threads over the past few weeks and taking notes. I have tried several editors (NCAA Dynasty Editor, Generic EA DB editor, Online Dynasty downloads, Pocketscout apps for webpage maker and scouting, etc). None of them allows me to match up the towns and the unique ID number for each town. Some of the editors extract the hometown name, and most just give you the hometown ID value in a CSV file, but there is no way to match the two up, that I can see, even trying to combine editor output files.
