OK, seriously: Why are there no fouls on 3 pointers?

This has got to be the most glaring gameplay omission in the 2K series. I've been playing since 2K11, I can't remember a single time that a player was fouled on a 3 point shot. Jumpshots in general require considerable slider tweaking to get fouls called on them at all. 3 point shots never result in either 3 free throws or potential 4 point plays. This year, it's even more glaring than its always been because there have been a number of times when a shooter is clearly fouled on a 3 point attempt, but nothing is called. It seems to me that they've modeled in actual fouling on those shots; so where are the foul calls?

Fouls calls are poor overall in this game. There's a moderately sized thread on the issue. It's supposedly being addressed in an upcoming patch.

Wish they would bring back the ability to draw fouls on jumpshots like in 2K11. People said it was an exploit, but in any game mode you play with users people fly around/into/on top of you with little to no repercussions. The ability to manually draw fouls on jumpers should be brought back.

Agreed. It's frustrating when the defender fall into you when you are pumpfaking but you can't shoot into him. Bring it back 2K.

I've gotten a foul call on a 3 pointer before... once... in 2k14. So it does exist and is possible.

I've been fouled on plenty of 3's and vice versa especially in last years game but I use my own custom sliders for contact and fouls.

I converted a 4 point play yesterday with Jordan Crawford. First one I have seen in 2k15 and I was pretty stoked that it happened with J.Crawford.

The thing with 2K11 is that the only real way to contest a shot was to press triangle. I know holding L2 near the shooter was supposed to give you a contest, but it never seemed to do much for me.

But now, with the addition of the R-stick contest, which allows you to contest a shot without leaving your feet, I'd love to see manually drawn fouls return. It'd be a nice risk-reward feature. Stay on the ground and avoid the foul, or go for a bigger contest/block but risk putting the guy at the line.

Agreed. It's frustrating when the defender fall into you when you are pumpfaking but you can't shoot into him. Bring it back 2K.

One time after I faked the defender into the air,and he landed on my guy as I started to dribble. I got called for a charge,and he didn't even hit the ground yet.

its in there. i drew a foul by getting a defender in the air and than shooting which triggered some animation where my player initiated contact.

its that move kevin martin lives off. however its very hard to trigger.

That's crazy. Maybe I don't remember correctly, but I'm pretty sure in 5 years of 2K basketball I've never been fouled on a 3 pointer. Well, I've SEEN fouls this year, but none called.
