thanks. I wasnt specifically asking about the bird card but just wondering if they run every rc event twice or new ones every time. Its cool that only 5 people will ever get a pro version of whatever card.

its too bad they cant be auctioned. would be interesting to see what theyd sell for.

He said (para-phase not word for word) you can only Pro 2 cards with the same picture. If Bird is in another RC, it will be a different picture.

Just settled for the two URs/4000-8000 range since I missed out on the first day entirely. I got as low as the 5000s though, so I think from now on I'll just aim for that <4000 range Epic. For me it's a nice balance of playing a bunch and getting a good reward without burning myself out.

Is there any possibility to find out how many people have ranked overall? So that you know you are on rank 54 of xxx people?
          Thanks for your answer!
Wow congrats. rank 65 must have been hard to reach. I was originally going for it, then I realized it would implie, cutting y nights and grinding at work... so took it down a notch and settled for rank 126-300 (ended up 186 with around 8250 points).

I pretty much reconciled myself to settling for finishing in the 30k range, and was pretty happy with my ultra rare Cedric Maxwell. I don't know how people grind enough to get the top spots, I was feeling burned out already!

I was sitting on rank 1300 with one hour left. Came to get Pro PP and I finished on 1623.

Oh well.. Almost threw my phone through the window.

Ended in the 13ks for the 2x Havlicek. Works out great as although I have 5 URs, he'll be my first Pro. It's nice to play fairly casually and get a good reward. I never played again after grinding out the Bulls/Pistons Rivals Clash last year I got so burned out. Won't make that same mistake this year.

I'm pretty happy with getting my first Epic card out of the event with Pierce. Playing all those games also got me through about a thousand games, so I'm closing in on the 2nd UR Jordan now, which should get me pretty close to the Epic tier.

could have gone into the 800 to 900, but finished 1080 got 2 paul pierce which I preferred over the legendary R Parish, now I use the 2 Epics in season mode. Inthink I had ca. 3 hours playing time per day and got around 3800 points.

Drafted 20 orange boosts throughout the event. Zero hotstreaks. LOL. Nice one, CD.

Also, feels like the bots popped out of nowhere to really push the rc the last day of the event. Looking at the leaderboard, they're everywhere. Guess this is another CD tactic.

I don't think anyone drafted a HS... i finished 2nd, used 1 HS (bought by mistake and held on to it until Sunday then used it when i was pretty much done).

                            Doing the math:

32636 points, majority +5 (did some +1 and +3 by mistake and 1 +10) that makes 6527 games wins min... but realistically probably 6600+. To keep the numbers simple, lets just say 6600 wins. Lets ignore all losses (i didn't lose that many games anyways), that means 13200 picks.

There are 25 slots on a board, on average, that likely means 12.5 picks for 1 clear. Rounded to 13, i cleared the board (assuming average luck) 1032 times... and i still drafted 0 HS. I don't think anyone on the board drafted a HS (while at least a few drafted epic during RC and that's not considering the fact that majority of users didn't play @ epic level, i.e. majority of my games were UR+ or UR++). That means from my personal experience, HS is rarer than Epic.

Add to that, like i said, no one on the forum claims to have drafted any HS and we have 2x top 5 finishers that post regularly here as well as many top 50 finishers (at least 3, probably more that i missed) and even more in the other tiers. Its a pretty safe conclusion that there's a bug going on with drafting HS.

Last year, HS was VERY COMMON. As in you get one on average every ~8 wins (most board clear = HS instead of players). Even if they are in the same pool as boosts, i got at least 60 boosts during RC if not more (5x5 clear for 1 NBA final, started with 4/4/4/4/4 because i had a final just before, used full boost for 1 game but didn't bother after since i was running into a line-up that had 0 chance). Also did a few during my 2nd season after i hit 5/5/5/5/5. I didn't keep count of how many boosts i got but say 60 (which is a min number), the odds really can't be that low can it (and again don't forget it seems like no one else drafted a HS)?

As far as bot goes, there are actual people that do HS. For example, ~6am (PST) Sunday morning, the person ranked #6 started spamming HS. As soon as he started, the person in #5 started spamming HS and everyone from #1-4 were playing (trust me, everyone in the top 5 were paying attention on Sunday ). #6 spammed for ~2 hours then gave up (he wasn't gaining at all on #5, #4+ each had over 2k buffer so he wasn't gaining fast enough on anyone else). He did regular for probably 2 more hours? everyone else slowly started to stop playing as soon as he did. #5 clearly stopped HSing since i was increasing my gap on him after ~3 hours.

I expect majority of players in the higher tier to actually be players and not bots. There might be some players that used bots but of course that's against the rule and based on last year/WWE SC, CD will work on catching them and banning them. Its pretty easy to find a bot considering they repeat actions so the timing will always be exact and unlike fast players, they won't be as fast as possible but always have set time gaps inbetween actions.

Weekend has always been a HS rush for RC. Its nothing new and likely has nothing to do with bots. I warned everyone on in the general discussion forum about it throughout the RC that weekend generally gets crazy. Why do you think i set a 4000 point gap on #6 (actually it was 5000 on Sunday morning)? Not to mention waking up after 3 hours just to make sure nothing crazy was happening? Considering how long RC is (basically 6 days) and the amount of time you likely invested during the 6 days, a lot of players will invest a little to try and move up a tier or 2 if they want a certain card. The competition is generally the most insane @ the borderline RC tier (top 300). If the player is very popular (MJ, KD, Kobe, etc), you might have 100+ players spamming HS to try and get/keep the card.

That's why often time a lot of players are cluster together, just take a look @ the top of the score board (top 50) and go down to 27 or 28. The difference between 27/28 (forgot which) and 50 is like 500 points because of the push for that tier resulting in almost everyone bunching up together trying to get in/stay in. Each tier you'll likely see bigger clusters and even smaller gaps and when its close, you often use any advantage you might have (as in HS). The difference between a few HS could be getting into a tier or not getting in.

I think it's better that HS are not draftable. It takes luck out of the equation.

I disagree, it allows for non paying players to be more competitive. People who buy HS are going to buy them no matter if they are draftable or not....if they are draftable they just end up spending less money. People who don't buy them will have the opportunity to HS whenever they are drafted, allowing for higher point totals over the RC period.

NWGameDad said they are draftable with the boosts but obviously CD messed up and didn't put them on the board this RC, but he never bothered to revise or correct his statement when it was obvious they aren't being drafted. There's no way, as many boards that were cleared and boosts drafted, that no one drafted one.

I agree with Denkiteki, I finished 104 and I had to play pretty much all sunday because everyone around 125 wanted in that tier. I had 10,536 and rank 125 had 10382 so it was very tight around there.
