Pump Fake

Does the pump fake do anything in this game? i havent seen it influence and dbs or linebackers at all in this game

It works for sure just can't use it to your advantage at any given time... Gotta be used at the right kment but I have frequently faked defenders out on no huddle or late drive plays. Its not something that works every time you click it... Thank god.,

To me it just wastes valuable time in the pocket that just leads to a sack.

If you have 2 guys running routes that cross each other or have levels, pump faking then throwing quickly to one of the 2 guys works wel. Makes the safety take an extra couple steps to either WR leaving the other open.

yeah i never seen any db move when i try those routes, or sluggos. the only affect i've seen is on a linemen when they try to jump to deflect a pass. i know people dont want pump to work all the time because of spammers but u would think once in awhile it could help lead to a big play.

A couple years ago, I was playing a guy online who was using RG3 and the Redskins. He rolled out and my QB spy chased him. Right as he was approaching the line, he pump faked. My defender bit on it, jumping up for the swat, and letting him run around my guy for the first. I was so geeked out that he pulled off a basketball fake that I didn't even mind him getting the first.

Buddy of mine totally mastered that move. First time I saw it I had the same reaction. Next 20 times? Not so awesome.

I've had success with the pump fake in madden 15. It seems to me like pump fakes work well off of playaction which is tough to pull off because it takes a lot of time in the pocket. They also work well off of the tight end stick and nod route or whatever it is. I've also found they work well on the fly or deep fade route

Pumps usually work for me if I have the time to pump one way, and throw a flat or fade the opposite way. Almost always get 15+ when it works.

I've rolled out before to avoid a sack, tried to throw the ball away but ended up pump faking, the DL man bit, jumped and allowed me a couple of extra yards to get around him and get back to the line of scrimmage.

I've been meaning to practice it in the practice arena but always forget.

Pump fakes really need to be assigned to individual face buttons like it was in NFL 2k (just double tap it).

Not only is it more natural (since you don't have to press a non-passing button), but I think it's more realistic as well, since you can target a specific WR or DB with the fake. A global pump fake doesn't make much sense.
