Re: My 1st Badge (List Your MyPlayer Badges)
Okay ill give two methods and you answrr 1 or 2
1: dribbling into contested jumpers(getting as close to defender as possible)
2: being relatively covered, catching and shooting contested shots from late defenders. Which method is yours. 1 or 2Comment

My 1st Badge (List Your MyPlayer Badges)
I noticed that too, I've even seen deadeye pop up on players when I would otherwise say they were wide-open. But I think earning the badge works differently. I can't remember who mentioned this in this thread, but there is a different animation for your jump shot when you dribble up to a defender, and I honestly think that dude was onto something. Because the game works by registering "how many" makes or uses you do of a particular thing. For example, dimer is 1250 assists of any type, tenacious is 400 boards on either end, pick pocket is a certain number of on-ball steals, and so on. So, my theory is that the game must register a particular thing or things for deadeye to drop, and my best guess (at least for now), is a certain number of made shots when that "contested animation" plays with your player.
I also think the number of makes isn't as outrageous as the community seems to think (including me before). The reason is because otherwise there would be hardly anyone at all with deadeye. I've been grinding for it for such a long time that now it's become more of a "mission" than something I actually want, like almost just to spite the game. But I've been just shooting covered shots from everywhere, not really paying attention to the animation change. On another note too, I think a lot of players overestimate how many actually makes or 'times' they successfully do something in a game. It's hard to really keep track if it isn't obvious (like an alley oop is obvious).
But I could be completely wrong and nothing I say means diddly. Funny thing is, that's probably the case here once again.Last edited by ItsJustaGame; 12-10-2014, 12:44 PM.Comment

I'll try fouling out as well. I'm in the playoffs, and I'm not so sure if you can get badges in them.Comment

Re: My 1st Badge (List Your MyPlayer Badges)
It makes sense, for the contested animation to play out to determine whether or not that shot counts towards Deadeye, but the sad thing is that we don't know that for gospel truth. What I do know is that them "2K" shots don't count regardless of perfect release, because they have no contested animation. That animation playing out might be the key...but figuring out whether they need to be perfect or not is another demon.I noticed that too, I've even seen deadeye pop up on players when I would otherwise say they were wide-open. Re: My 1st Badge (List Your MyPlayer Badges)
Tip passes and interceptions lol
As to that contested animation thing, that wont get u deadeye. I hit maybe 3 of those. Im almost 100% sure that contested jumpshots, no matter if perfect release or not is what unlocks it. Thats all i did and once i get deadeye for the 2nd time ill know it.Comment

Exactly. I forgot to mention the 2K jump shots too. If green releases count for something then I may never get this damn badge..Comment
