Do my teammates have to get tipped passes that result in steala or does it count for if I just tip them?

Re: My 1st Badge (List Your MyPlayer Badges)
I'd say about 150-200 considering it took me 31 games and i averaged 5-7 a game. I used D Rose jumpshotComment

Re: My 1st Badge (List Your MyPlayer Badges)
Wouldnt do that, heard from someone who has deadeye also that you have to finish the gms and cant foul out. Not sure if i actually believe it but i wouldnt take that riskComment

Re: My 1st Badge (List Your MyPlayer Badges)
Did you get Deadeye after the first 31 games of your career? Or was it later on and it just took you 31 games since you started specifically going for it? Were all 31 games consecutively played with no sims/skips?
One more question for anyone; all the layup badges, including Acrobat, does your inside scoring attributes have to be at a certain level? I've gotten all of the badges already on my SF but I can't remember what my attributes were at the time.Comment

Re: My 1st Badge (List Your MyPlayer Badges)
So, in the process of going for Deadeye, this happened. Second time this has happened out of the thousands of shots I've taken. No biggie, just caught me off guard.

Re: My 1st Badge (List Your MyPlayer Badges)
The game wouldn't ruin 20 games of work towards deadeye because you play extremely hard defensively and foul out. If it happens for one person it can happen for anotherAttached FilesComment

Re: My 1st Badge (List Your MyPlayer Badges)
Well what do we have here... Finally got it, quite a coincidence that i just posted about it.
I can give all the details if anyone wants to know, but the one thing I will say is that the contested shot animation will take you to the promise land.Comment

Pleaseeeeee tell me you fouled out and please give all details. How many greens how Many games and did you shoot the CONTESTED shots which you can choose from "big" and "guard" or do you mean just a jumper that has a contested animation if a guy is near youComment

Re: My 1st Badge (List Your MyPlayer Badges)
Here is what I got:
- 39 games into my second season, didn't count green releases until game 20 of the second season, but the badge dropped after 151 (obviously the number could have been much higher from shots taken before I started counting)
- I don't have a definite number of makes, but either way my total FGM overall was 1,804. If I had to guess, I'd say roughly 1,400 of those makes came from some variation of a "contested shot"
- I started from the beginning with MJ's jump shot, not long after I switched to LD2K for almost all of the rookie season, including playoffs (racking up TONS of greens in the process, although I don't think that mattered whatsoever). But for the entire 2nd season and basically the actual "Deadeye Grind" I switched back to MJ and didn't change.
- My outside shooting attribute is at 19, so just keep that in mind.
Alright, now the more specific stuff..
- I went for a bunch of other badges while going for Deadeye at the same time, sometimes even not taking a single jumpshot the entire game. But around game 20, when I started counting greens, I started going for ONLY deadeye. I'm talking 60-70 shots attempted per game, averaging 90-100 points.
- The shots I took for those 19 games (roughly 19..) were scattered, but a great majority of them were from the baseline, and IN 2-POINT RANGE. I did that because I figured all that mattered were shots made and I could drain waayyy more two-pointers than 3.
- I would run down court, get to the baseline (although it can be from anywhere really), and waited for a defender to get close, then I would edge closer to him to be sure that I would get the contested shot animation, and take it. I did this against guards/bigs/double coverage/one-on-one.
- I didn't start making sure I had the contested shot animation until 8 games leading up to the badge, but after I decided that was the "right method," it was literally the only way I did it. Boring? You better believe it... I didn't even count shots that didn't have that contested animation.
- Those 8 games I probably had about 400 made shots with the correct animation, and maybe 90-100 greens, although I don't think a good chunk of those "counted" because they were just regular jumpers with a man in front of me.
Alright, so there's my story. I'm not sure if I missed anything, but that's what I got. If I was going to give my bottom line, no BS, straight-up formula for the badge, it would be this:
500 jump shots made while being covered by a defender, where the contested animation of your jump shot activates in the process.
That's my theory, it may work for you, it may not, but I got the badge. Just keep in mind that the number could be 500, 750, or even 1,000, but IT IS a finite number. I don't even think perfect releases play a role, but I wouldn't stop getting them either way (you'll probably rack up plenty even if you're not specifically trying anyway).Comment
