NBA Live 15 vs NBA 2K15 Shoes Thread

Hello everyone. I have NBA 2K15 and I love this game, I love every single part of it, but the only thing that I will change maybe are the shoes. In NBA Live 15 the shoes are amazing, what do you think guys?

Yeah it seems like in Live, every shoe has their own shape, and in 2k, every shoe falls into 3 categories (4 now with Kobe 9s and UA Clutchfit high).

Hopefully next year 2k can give each shoe it's own shape.

And the 3D laces look really good, 2k needs that.

Well its obvious 2K was concerned at all about shoes this year. In fact, most look even worse than last year. Like someone else posted there's no real variation among the models and most just look painted on with no real definition. I hope with hope much better Live is 2K pays some attention.

It seems 2k dedicates its resources to animation quantity and fidelity, and the comp puts an emphasis on graphics.

Clearly they need a step (or big leap) forward. Live has done it by scanning them (look incredible, specially laces), but this was at the expense of color customization.

Something has to be done because the shape of the shoe, and the results that shoe color selections combined with the different team colors really give a pretty cheap feeling.

              IMO the best would be:

              - Being able to combine shoe scanning with color assignment to different parts of the shoe.

              - Get rid of shoe team colors, because what you finally get with this system is some cheap shoe colors that don't exist IRL and just give a feeling of fake.

Something interesting to replace team colors would be a huge database of shoes with a lot of different (and real) variants for each model (something close to what NBA Live 10 had). This, plus:

1 - The possibilty to add new different colorways used by NBA players to that database.

2 - Add the big majority of shoes that will be used that NBA year (in this year 4-5 of the most used models are missing)

3 - Being FINALLY able to select different home/away shoes for each player

Would make the system finally perfect IMO.

Yeah I agree with how cheap the shots look and even the ones that are good are still missing parts of is real life design. I think at this point just having the real scans of kicks is the way to go moving forward. Just have all the variations of said shoe even though I know with that your gonna have some Jordan's,nikes etc colorways left out that sneakerheads love but I think it would be a fair trade off for authenticity and look.

I made a thread about this stating this very fact! As a sneakerhead I am really ocd about kicks in basketball games. Since kicks it's a big part of the basketball culture you think they will show a bit more love and effort in that department. I posted this comparison how 2K14 shoe models are better than 2K15 models, also they're more detail as well. smh
