Not much PS3 info yet other than the release date and Puig on the cover.

The ps4 & Vita version is a no brainer for me.
If the ps4 Show has no SOTS & the ps3 Show does, then I'll get all 3. Again.

So what can us PS3 users expect this year. I'm really hoping that we get the licensed equipment as well. I really don't see why we wouldn't. But other than that, will it just be a roster update?

I think that after the debacle that is the PS3 version this year, expectations needs to be seriously tempered regarding what is going to be in it. There is a good chance that you'll either have to upgrade the console or stick with a past version like 13 or 12 again.

I'd say a real 50/50 on the licensed equipment. Any other features will most certainly not feature on the PS3, aside from the updated rosters. It's a shame, but that's progress.

Some day, I'll be able to convince my wife that a PS4 would really help the family move forward. Just have to win that pesky lottery first...

I have a feeling that if single-A teams are included or all real minor league stadiums are included, that will only be for ps4 and us ps3 users will be left out of that.

14 is a debacle on the PS3? You must be talking about things other than gameplay ball physics and graphics right? Like maybe franchise play or something. 14 is the best looking and playing game they have made to date.

I'd be happy if they would get rid of the wild pickoff attempts still in the game. I wouldn't expect anything more than a roster update and I hope even though I do not own a PS4 yet that they put all their energies into the game on the new console and let the old one go.

After they didn't fix the franchise budget for the PS3 last yr, yet they did for the PS4 users imo was pretty shaddy, and that's something that I never thought I would say about SCEA. Granted there aren't as bad as the NBA2k team when it comes to being dishonest, but not fixing the budget issue I think definitely upset some people and it definitely did me. For that reason as long as I have a PS3 I wont buy another game. I don't know if I will ever get a PS4, cause of health issues really effect and hamper me playing games, especially when it comes to hitting a baseball. If I do get a PS4 then MLBTS will be the 1st game I get.
Gameplay wise 14 on the PS3 was better than ever, so Im sure 15 will basically the same, not sure they have much more they can actually do with the PS3 anyway, Id say they got more out of their games than any other company did on the old gen. For me 14 was the last money spent on this console, and 14 might be the last of my gaming, unless I just cant stand text sims, then I will probably be back for more punishment,lol.

I saw MLB The Show 15 for PS3 for $39.99 on Amazon. It is $59.99 for the PS4 version. There is a good chance there will be a lot left out for the PS3 version.

Yeah, my guess is, it will be exactly the same as 14 with updated rosters and nothing more, possibly a few tweaks under the hood, but it wont be anything major.
I think they have the PS3 as maxed out as possible, so they really don't have nothing left to add really that they can, so they are doing right by their customers buy selling a cheaper game, rather than scam them, like NBA2k did, so hats off to SCEA for that.

I agree, that's still a lot to pay for basically a roster update, but atleast they aren't trying to sell it for full price and tell us all a bunch of lies like the devs of NBA2k for old gen. Probably be some under the hood tweaks as well as updated rosters, probably will fix the budget issue that they refused to fix last yr for old gen users, but other than that, I figure it will be exactly like 14 was. I do think 40$ is still a lot to pay, and I wont be buying. I figure 14 is good enough for me, and maybe I will get lucky and my wife will surprise me with a PS4 for MLBTS15, but I doubt that happens,lol.

It's only a ripoff if you pay $40 for a roster update but are expecting more.
If someone gets what they expect, but then has buyers remorse, one has only themselves to blame. IMO
