What it's like shooting with the Indiana Pacers in NBA2K15

EDIT: I edited the title of this thread to reflect what is requested and that is help identifying which shots are glitched on which systems for HOF/Sim play. Keep in mind that this might be dependent on the system you use. My original post is below.

After about 50-60 hours of work in online league play on HOF, sim, 12 minute quarters and shooting bricks all year, not getting a single green release from three, hitting the side of the backboard, shooting over the rim entirely, I thought this video summed up exactly how bad it is to shoot with the Indiana Pacers in NBA2K.

Twitch is the world's leading video platform and community for gamers.

    Side note:

1/18 from three in this game (6%)

I would feel bad for you Coach but I play as the Sixers and getting a perfect release online is crazy difficult - I have a better shot at hitting the lottery twice.

And when it comes to getting a foul call?

I get that we're bad but we are not this bad haha.

I got you Coach. I haven't been playing that much due to time, and now I'm just waiting for the patch.

The pacers got jobbed by 2k this year. A team that went to the ECF in back to back years should have gotten more attention to their roster. Every league that I have been apart of, pacer users have complained about their releases ratings and hot spots. I just beat a pacer user by 65 on hof sim 12 min quarters. That was the final straw for him as he was already losing every game by double digits. Now granted the user was a bit of a noob but we all know coach 2k is a 2k vet who puts in the work with his favorite team. Just saying, Mike Stauffer aka the 2k insider should do a double take on the pacer roster and adjust their sig shots at the bare minimum.

No way you can take that many threes with the Pacers and have any chance. You just rarely hit any.

Need to show a little mercy over there commish lol.

Re: What it's like shooting with the Indiana Pacers in NBA2K15

With my blazers this year (offline HALL of Fame Sim My league) I took about 400 threes in 30 games and I am shooting at a 42% clip. I only shoot open spot up threes and I never take a three with someone who has less than an 82 3pt rating. In 2k14 my trailblazers shot 48% from deep over 98 games, this is also on Hall of Fame on similar type of looks.

Shooting this year is defeinilty nerfed a bit, last year my sister made 392 threes with Crawford over 98 games while shooting at 51% from threes lol ... She had a 60/50/90 season, which isn't very realistic. This year after 30 games her Crawford is shooting 52% from 2's and 44% from 3's. I guess what I am trying to say is that 2k alter its shooting system in a way where numbers are beginning to match real life stats. Granted some of you guys have seen my Sam Pham videos and I crank out open shots non stop. If you don't generate open shots and decide to keep shooting with sub par shooters (or even a good shooter on a bad day) you will brick it for 48 minutes in 2k15.

My wide open threes with 82+ shooters only go down around half the time, anything less than that has no chance this year over the course of a game on HOF Sim. This gameplay mechanic is fair but BRUTALLY fair; we all need to adjust and just get use to seeing shots not going down as much. We need to change our formula/understanding on what is a good look.

The Pacers are 3rd worst in FG%, 6th worst in 3P%, and tied for 2nd worst in 2P%. They are also 3rd worst in ORtg and 5th worst in eFG%. They are a bad shooting and offensive team.

Quoted for truth Sam. I have enjoyed your vids and it has been if great help to me since we are both primarily blazer users. My philosophy on hof sim this year is to never take a possesion off, work for open looks with structured sets and plays, and then have the percentages go my way as a result. You will miss open looks on hof, but you will miss contested shots all day; so it's best to move the rock, stay unpredictable, and master all of your players including the reserves. Because even when u get that open look, there is still skill involved in getting a good to perfect release to complete the possession. Which brings me to my point of alot of the pacer players having broken releases on hof sim not withstanding the fact that they are not really a potent offensive team. Pacer users, hang in there and hang your hat on defense until 2k addresses the roster. Different teams have different approaches to winning. 2k15 really rewards people who figure out that spamming jumpshots isn't the only way to win; and no that isn't an endorsement of paint spamming. It's an an acknowledgement of knowing your personnel which coach2k presumably does...so the issue again rests on the 2k insider to do a a thorough analysis of the pacer roster.

The problem is there a high number of very good 3pt shooters are glitched on HOF/Sim and some on SS/Sim it is really bad and then there are a bunch of average shooters who are glitched as well. It basically ruins the game because you know shooters can't get perfect releases and you can sag off heavily because they made not getting a perfect release more penalizing on HOF Sim.

I wouldn't even sign up in a league in which I couldn't adjust the sig shots because there are so many good shooters who can't get a green release on HOF sim to the point it is almost impossible.

Two teams I know who are not glitched:

I haven't even played with them in a while but I knew they were not glitched on SS/Sim last time I played with them. So I just did it today

                              Trailblazers:
Aldridge can get green releases HOF 76 St3pt
Lilliard can get green releases HOF Sim 85 st3pt
Matthews can get green releases HOF Sim 88 st3pt
Batum can get green releases HOF Sim 74 st3pt
Wright can get green releases HOF Sim 81 st3pt
Blake is glitched can not get green releases HOF Sim all locations 84 sd3pt
Crabbe can get green releases HOF Sim 83 st3pt
Barton is glitched can not get green releases HOF Sim all locations but is a poor 3pt shooter

So Trailblazers have 6 shooters who can hit shots as long as you know the releases you should be wet most nights

Dallas is another team I played a lot of games on SS/Sim 12 minutes using Dallas and I tested them on HOF Sim they have all the shooters nice greens as long as you know the releases

                              Dirk green everywhere
                              Monta green everywhere
                              Harris green everywhere
                              Jameer green everywhere
                              Parsons green everywhere
                              Barea green everywhere
                              Jefferson green everywhere

Crowder is glitched from midrange and 3pt range

That is 7 shooters who all have no problem making their shots from 3pt range. So when he plays against a team that have maybe 3 total shooters tops and all of them are glitched you end up playing one hand behind your back.

I bet that Mav's user is doing pretty good right?

It is so many good players like Melo that is glitched from 3pt range on SS/Sim but wet from mid range then he is glitched from mid range and beyond on HOF/Sim. I am just going through the roster and going to change a bunch before I start my Myleague because I like to play with a bunch of teams and don't like behind at a disadvantage.

If I was I was Coach I would just finish the league if it is one season but they really should think about starting over post patch and let all the users fix the shots before starting over.
