2k15 Freezing on PS4

Having a new problem where if I let the game sit too long on the intro screen (where you can choose modes) with the NBA 2kTV video running, the game freezes. This is new, has happened twice in the previous 3 days, but had no problems previously.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Yeah, it must be for a lot of people. I've never had my PS4 freeze on anything until today while i exited an NBA today game and tried to go over to the slider settings. I actually couldn't even shut down my PS4. I had to unplug it and start it up again. Then within 10 minutes, it froze again while heading back to the main screen. Either it's that new 2K video or some sort of bug with one of the updates they provide.

Had mine freeze a couple nights ago trying to go into mycareer mode (ps4). Never happened before. I couldn't even power it down using the button or eject the disc. I had to unplug it. That better not happen again

I'm having the same issues too. Once when I tried to access the roster from NBA Today and once just going to settings.

I'm not sure if it's in the actual game modes themselves but everything seems fine once you're in MyLeague. Just as long as you don't go back to the main menu.

EDIT: It seems once you're in the game mode there is no freezing. Haven't had any issues with MyLeague.

I've had variations of this problem in spades.. It's happened pre- and post-patch though. Almost anytime I try to go from the Jordan Rec Center to the Park it will freeze and I won't be able to close the application or even turn off my PS4. I've had it freeze on COUNTLESS times in the park in general (post-patch), but in that scenario I can just close the application. I've had some other miscellaneous freezes in MyCareer but I can't remember the specifics.


All told though, I've probably had to unplug my PS4 like 5 times due to 2K freezing on me and not allowing the system to power off. Hopefully I haven't done any permanent damage, I just bought this dang thing like 3 months ago..

Thank you for the confirmation guys. I've had no problems within a mode, only the main screen. Guess I'll just have to ignore Rachel.

Don't have to unplug the ps4 when it freezes...hold down the power button for like 20-25 seconds and it will shut down. I've had this issue happen to me twice tonight aggravating cause it's the same type of freeze it use to do on the roster editing and it just started with this new 2ktv episode.

I used gain access to the lineup by Nba Currently as soon as merely about to settings.

Don't have to unplug the ps4 when it freezes...hold down the power button for like 20-25 seconds and it will shut down. I've had this issue happen to me twice tonight aggravating cause it's the same type of freeze it use to do on the roster editing and it just started with this new 2ktv episode.

I've noticed that for me it's on the first time I try to open up the game or exit a game mode.

In the last hour the game froze my PS4 four times.
First when I've downloaded the Patch and it wouldn't install. Then when I tried to delete the game to install again. After that it magically worked after rebooting but the first time I've entered the main menu and the 2kTV video started it froze again. Now I finally tried to start a quick game and decided to check the Rosters via NBA Today it froze again.

I'm so mad right now and don't feel like letting 2k destroy my PS4 so I decided to not try again tonight.

Yep, 2K15 has frozen my PS4 numerous times, both pre- and post-patch, although it's been much more prevalent since the last patch. It really sucks too because it won't let you close the app or even manually shut down the PS4. Have to unplug it every time, and that can't be good for the system.

2K is the only game I've experienced that does this to the PS4. 2K is also the only game I know of that rolls out a patch over the course of two weeks. Not gonna lie, this game has been annoying the hell out of me lately with all these issues. The complete lack of any helpful communication from 2K is just the cherry on top.

Yup I had to do that twice but only since that new 2KTV video came out my game started freezing around the main menu. From my experience, it only happens when you are exiting and going back to the main menu. I've played for hours in MyLeague and haven't had any freeze issue.
