Nice start for USA, unfortunate start but they rebounded well. Played much more assertively when they settled down.

I'm surprised Finland only has 1 point right now. Canada tonight isn't going to be easy. I wouldn't want to go into the last game in a must-win situation against an underdog.Comment

Yep, and that's why I wouldn't just say they're going to walk over Germany. If Finland gets 0 points tonight, Germany knows it can win and avoid the relegation series. Could be tricky.
Meanwhile, the US is taking care of business at the moment. Setting up a chance to win the group if they can hold on for the last couple minutes.
And there it is, 3-0 now with a minute left.Comment

I've been flipping back and forth between the Wild game and the Finland-Canada game, it's been very good. Reinhart's goal was a beauty.

Attendance has been mediocre compared to previous WJC held up here. Hopefully this results in an eventual return to (somewhat) smaller venues and (somewhat) sane ticket prices. I paid $55 for the USA/Russia SF in Vancouver in 2006. Tickets for tomorrow's Slovakia/Germany game in Montreal start at $53.
