    Re: 2015 Royal Rumble (1/25/15)

It's a new year and WrestleMania season has begun. The Royal Rumble has pretty much always been my favorite PPV of the year and even when I don't agree with the winner (like last year, for instance) I always enjoy the match itself.

Who do you guys want to see win this thing? Both Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan have announced they will be competing in the match and are the early favorites. What kind of crazy spot will Kofi come up with this year? Will Reigns break his own new record for eliminations? Will Kane finally catch Shawn Michas for the most career eliminations? How many (if any) superstars of years past will make a surprise return?

All these questions (and more!) will be answered on the 25th!

Anyone think Sting will show up to this thing? I mean Sting has to re-emerge sometime right?

I'm looking forward to Mizdow launching himself out of the ring after The Miz gets eliminated as much as anything

I won't be able to watch this live this year. Flying home from Florida that night and will get home in the middle of the show. Also a reason why I couldn't buy tickets for the show too. Couldn't find an earlier flight to get home in time. Went to the Royal Rumble here in 2004 and it was awesome live.

I can see the final four in the Rumble being Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, and probably Seth Rollins.

I'd be fine with Hornswaggle winning as long as it means Reigns isn't.

It's quite funny how the fans are souring on Reigns being the winner of this year's rumble. Like I'm even against Reigns winning it but last year, after Bryan wasn't in it, and the fans realized who could win. It was like, if we can't root for Bryan, then we'll root for Reigns as long as Batista didn't win.

Now I can't imagine how the wrestling fans of Philadelphia, would react if Reigns won by eliminating Bryan to do so. Then again, I still think Dolph has a chance to win it, and he's also a huge favorite in Philadelphia and the north east.

All I know is if Ziggler, Ambrose or Bryan doesn't win it, and Reigns does, he'll get the Batista treatment that's for sure.

In those fans defense this is before we heard him talk and saw him wrestle a singles match. Boy how stupid (including myself) was that of them to do.

I like Reigns, and I want him to succeed, but he feels like a football player trying to wrestle. I think he needs another year of wrestling and learning more moves under his belt before he can be considered as winning the Rumble.

I don't think the reaction will be like last year if Reigns wins, he still seems to get cheered pretty loudly. I'd like to think the people in charge wouldn't be dumb enough to have him be the one to eliminate Bryan either, but stranger things have hapened

I'm one of the few here who defend Reigns solely due to the fact that he's still relatively new to wrestling. The E is doing him no favors for the future by shoving him down our throats.

He absolutely can not win the Rumble. The fans will turn quick, and it's not fair to him. It's clear he still needs a lot of work.

They haven't already? The best he can hope for at this point is that he keeps the women and children on his side.

It absolutely is fair to him too. How is it not fair that fans don't like a boring, awkward dude that does nothing save for a couple spots? He's not where he needs to be at this point in his career.

Not calling him a complete wash at this point though, he's young in wrestling years and still has plenty of time to learn.

You know who else the fans hated but he turned it around eventually? The Rock. Ain't nobody chanting Die, Roman, Die at this point yet.

Nah, I'd say that the majority of fans haven't turned yet. He still gets arguably the second best reaction of anyone (currently) on the main roster. There will always be people booing, unless your name is Daniel Bryan.

And the not fair comment stems from the fact that the higher ups aren't doing him any favors. He clearly needs more in ring work and CERTAINLY needs more work on the mic, but instead of letting him progress in some lower level fueds, he's consistently in the main event where he is outclassed. If they force a Rumble victory onto him and then the title, it just won't work, and that's coming from someone who actually likes Roman.

I'm rooting for Reigns to win the Rumble now just for it to piss off everyone, of course he isn't near ready but he is one of my favorites and a lot of people dislike him so i'll get a good laugh

It's definitely too soon for a Rumble win, but I could see him winning the MITB match. That's around 6-7 months away so he has time to develop more. Even when you win MITB, you might hold on to it for a few more months.
