I don't know if you've already been doing this, but i couldn't get unfazed until I had a Floor gen on the court with me, once I did I kept playing at 6 minute quarters, then after the very first game of 8 minute quarters I got it. It was early in my second season, like not past game 15. In that particular game I only got 2 red rings in the 1st and 3rd quarters. Other games with 6-min quarters I could be 2-ring hot almost every quarter (with the floor gen), and I was only averaging 17 minutes I think.. I had microwave at the time too, but purposely not volume shooter. I don't know if it matters at all either but I was constantly hot on defense, because all I did was get cheese steals on rookie and shoot jumpers for deadeye
All that might not be very helpful, but maybe it can fill in some cracks you have, but if the 2K staffer tweeted the "formula" then I would try to do exactly that, whatever it is
