Re: FIFA 15 OS Community Sliders
Has anyone noticed that the CPU never plays balls from back to front with these sliders (long balls from defenders to attackers) Even 1/2 star teams which are set up for playing long balls dont play them.
I think i know why but what do you guys think???Comment

Re: FIFA 15 OS Community Sliders
Even in lower league football, "hoof ball" as they call it is sort of dying out in favor of a more attractive possession based game. That said, the long ball game is woefully represented in FIFA and my guess is that it's by design because even though it does happen quite often in a real football match, I don't think that type of game would translate well in video game form. Think about it, how much fun would it be to defend, or play that type of game? Not very I think. Even watching it on TV can become a chore lol.Comment

Yes and show me some sliders that do have the defenders playing this way. I think guys need to not mislead the sliders when it's the core of FIFA that prevents hoof ball from happening

Re: FIFA 15 OS Community Sliders
I just had the most physical and exciting game I've ever played in all my years of playing FIFA. I played Liverpool and there was 18 fouls, 9 yellows, 2 reds and 3 penalties. The ref gave me a penalty on 4th minute in injury time to win. This was with the slow pace sliders.Mets/Giants/Knicks/Rangers/Manchester United/Notre Dame Football

Lol - I'm sure most Chelsea fans are hoping to forget that match. It was pretty good, I wouldn't say Tottenham dominated thought - think Chelsea edged out on possession in particular.

Re: FIFA 15 OS Community Sliders
I never thought Id say this about a Mourinho trained Chelsea but that was one of the weakest defense performances Ive ever seen by a european top class team. That and a fabulous Kane were the two only reasons for that result. Oh, and Chadli of course.Lol - I'm sure most Chelsea fans are hoping to forget that match. Just use semi assisted for a while, and in not time , you will be playing in full manual.Comment

Re: FIFA 15 OS Community Sliders
This is my first year playing fifa and I started on full manual. It was too steep a learning curve so I changed to semi passing with assisted through balls and shooting. After learning a little about soccer and playing the game for a while I've changed to manual passing and through balls. I actually feel like the game is less frustrating. I can't blame the computer for passing to the wrong player anymore. I'm having more fun than ever and would be totally in love with the game except for the youth academy and board expectations problems.PSN: OldStyle24Comment

Re: FIFA 15 OS Community Sliders
Hello Matt, I have watched many of your videos that show the positions of the players on the pitch, and I really appreciate your effort to improve the game. (I have subscribed your channel on Youtube).
Do you know these open source programs?
1)
This is a serious program for all those who love studying schemes and tactics of football, basketball, rugby and other sports.
This is not a game but a tool dedicated to coaches and players who often use video to analyze certain phases of the game and the opponents of their own.
Basically it is a free program that allows you to do at home, on your computer, what they do sports journalists on TV when they make the analysis of the schemes, the movements and position of the players, reviewing the actions of the game in slow motion and with a drawing marker on the video, to explain what happened
2)
Kinovea is like Longimatch.
Unlike the latter, however, although it has fewer features, it is much easier to use and allows you to open any video from one convenient interface very intuitive.
Once you open a video in Kinovea, you can use the bar below to make it go slower or faster.
Putting a paused video you can see it through each frame, picture by picture, by pressing the up and down (<| |>).
To save a single frame of the video you press the button on the camera in the lower right corner and you can also save a series of sequential frames of images.
Just as you could do with LingoMatch, here too you can draw trajectories on video, write comments, bring up a stopwatch and even put a grid over impression and open a small window that zooms a part of the video.
A very nice feature is the ability to open a double player and then see two videos together perhaps to make comparisons.
It opens a third panel with the playback controls that works for both video and with which the two videos can also be superimposed.
You can also synchronize the two videos that maybe portray a scene shot from two different angles.
With this program which slows the video you can see every detail of a movie, and you can have fun creating personalized slow-motion replays of their sporting achievements.
Keep it up, and thanks again to you and Orion for your work!Comment

Re: FIFA 15 OS Community Sliders
I feel like the CPU players are always faster than my players ... both when I am on defense and when I am on offense. I am using these settings from the first post ...
Sprint Speed = 45(HUM)/45(CPU)
Acceleration = 52(HUM)/53(CPU)
Is that difference of +1 for the CPU in acceleration the cause of this?
This is most frustrating for me on defense ... I feel like I have to use the sprint to keep up with the CPU player ... but then, because of inertia (Physics!), my player cannot stop and change directions quickly, and the CPU exploits this to get past me and into space. I am totally OK with the fact that, when I am sprinting, I should have less control over my ability to stop and turn (again ... Physics!) ... I am just bummed that I am sprinting so often.
And on offense ... the same thing is true ... I do *not* want to use the sprint when I have the ball ... a sprinting player is more likely to make an errant pass, take a heavy touch, be unable to change direction ... but the CPU defenders can track me down with ease. And the fact that they were sprinting (were they sprinting?) does not seem to affect them in the sense that they *are* able to tackle the ball (cleanly? ... well, that's another post) from my player.
Am I doing something wrong? I am probably doing something wrong.
Any suggestions on what I could do to get better? Thanks!New to FIFA23 ... did not care for FIFA22 ... after having played FIFA19 for the previous three years!
