Wasn't Beachy supposed to sign with someone today? I'd be interested to know when that news comes out. I know he has the TJ concerns but I think he's a pretty good pitcher.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: 2014-15 Hot Stove League Thread

There are conflicting reports with Scherzer and Detroit. Reports say Detroit wants him while most say they don't. Honestly, I thin k he ends up in STL or some team that comes out of nowhere. Wouldn't be surprised if he went back to AZ either as he lives there during the off season.Last edited by ShowTyme15; 01-10-2015, 10:51 AM.Comment

Re: 2014-15 Hot Stove League Thread

Regarding Ichiro-TOR rumors, he'd fit great there in LF. Saunders would take CF and Bautista would take RF. He mainly wants playing time on a contender. I wanna see him get to 3,000 hits.Comment

Sorry, I can't do that. Well, he does hit HRs when he makes contact and can pull off the occasional very good play in the field but overall, you'll hate his loafing and general "la de dah" attitude.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: 2014-15 Hot Stove League Thread

Ichiro wouldn't start with any organization he signs with. He's a bench piece at this point. Toronto's starting OF is Saunders in LF Pompay CF Bautista in RF. Ichiro would be a 4th or 5th outfielder if signed.Comment

Re: 2014-15 Hot Stove League Thread

I do think that Ichiro would get more ABs if Pompey were to massively struggle or one of the OFers end up injured for a significant time. I do like the fact the Jays are actually being aggressive with their young position players for once with Pompey more or less being assured of starting and Travis having a better than even chance at starting at 2B at least to start the season.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
