One word: Pressure. It works in real-life (Super Bowls 42 & 46 come to mind - rather fondly I might add
) and it worked wonders when a friend and I previewed the Super Bowl over the weekend. (well, relative. I lost the game 38-35 in the final minute after being down 10 with 4 mins to go and taking the lead with 1:07 on the clock).
Never against him did I run a play where I did not send 5 guys. Brady can't throw from his back. In obvious passing situations - like 5 wide, for instance - I went Dime 4 DEs and picked one of the blitzes. I also showed blitz on every play, so he couldn't be sure what was coming, if anything.
Hope this helps. Oftentimes in Madden you have to do the exact opposite of real life. Sometimes, however, what works in real life works here. I think this is one of those cases.
