What's the worst loss you've experienced as a fan
2014 NFC championship vs Seahawks... It still hurts 😔Tags: None -
Re: What's the worst loss you've experienced as a fan
Well as a Cowboys fan, I've gotten pretty desensitized to failure, so I don't really get that awful feeling after a loss anymore. Lol.Originally posted by Kaiser Wilhelmthere should not be ties occurring in the NFL except when neither team wins the game. -

The Jets beating the Colts in SuperBowl 3 and the Mets beating the Orioles in 5 games in the 1969 World Series.
Both were equally disturbing and equally painful. Both were played in 1969, and both times the Baltimore teams were enormous favorites.Comment

Re: What's the worst loss you've experienced as a fan
I was a high school senior and scored tickets to the AFC Championship game Cle vs Den, otherwise known as "The Drive" game. (1986).
Heart wrenching, watching our prevent defense, well, prevent us from winning.
Prior to that, has to be Red Right 88, Cle vs Oak. ("Kick the @$%#$ field goal!!!!")Comment

Thats easy, 2009 Superbowl. I thought we had it when Fitz made that great TD, which ironically was the greatest sports moment I had.Comment

I think it's a combination of a very good gameplan by Parcells and Co. and Bills poor tackling.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

1990 NFC Championship Game.
I was a 49ers fan at the time, that was before I became a fanatic and started just watching everybody. That single loss ended a dynasty roll and all but ended Joe Montana's career there. It was one helluva dagger.Last edited by FaceMask; 01-27-2015, 08:16 AM.Comment

-98 AFC Championship game, 10-0 lead at halftime, then fell apart in the 2nd half
-2004 2nd round against the steelers, Herm gets conservative, and Doug Brien blows 2 potential game winners
-2011 AFC championship game against the Steelers. This one sucked because it was such a blown opportunity. Came out flat in the first half and were getting blown out, still almost came back but we butchered a first and goal from the 5Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

- 1990 NFC Championship game. Ended the three-peat bid. I was crushed.
- 2012 Super Bowl to the Ravens. Ruined our perfect Super Bowl record.
- 2011 NFC championship game to the Giants.
- 1992 NFC Championship game to the Cowboys.
- 1987 Divisional game to the Vikings. We were clearly the best team in the league that year, but just laid an egg in that game.
