But his fitness comments are stupid. If there's one thing American players were known for, it was our fitness, which has curiously gone down since he's been in charge.

The fitness was just fine at the World Cup. Fact - some players came into the camp out of shape. He pointed that out, and some people didn't like that.

The Chilean league was 3 matches in, yes. In contrast, the MLS players are in offseason. However, I don't mind Klinsmann expecting these guys to be ready for the January camp if they're called up. He's expecting it to be taken seriously, and I'm fine with that.

I wouldn't be upset at all if Dempsey didn't start...would rather see Zardes just because.

Nguyen looked really "mature" against Chile, for lack of a better word.

Ibarra? When was the last time an NASL player was in a starting XI for the MNT? I don't know a thing about him, that's for sure.

can we close the book on him already?

taking up a camp spot at this point.

Of course the match that Ibarra starts, I missed most of it. I haven't seen any highlights really. He wasn't getting too involved by the time I was watching part way through the second half.

From what I've read he did pretty well for his first start.

Think that sucks? I dvr'd it and I accidentally deleted it before I could watch it. So I missed all of it lol

At least we won, since we had a terrible january

Dempsey's goal was a thing of beauty. Great ball from Zardes as well.

As amazing as Bradley's olimpico was, that skill and finish by Dempsey made it the more impressive goal to me.

Coulda used that skill when he was in alone on Courtois at the World Cup.
