Jt2000's build a 1* with 1* players challenge!

Hey guys,

I started this idea a couple a days ago. Some members have took the challenge!

Rules:
Must be a created or default 1* school. (Cupcake roster!)
You can scout (start your coach at level 3 to max out scout)
You can scout Jucos 1* players to help you out.
You must work your way up to a 5/6 * program with just with 1* players
You must allow players to leave if they want to.
You can accept transfers.
You can only scout 25 players. Over 25 players you must cut it down by sorting it by overall. Cut from the lowest on up.

Here the twist:
If your roster is over the limit. You must cut your top overall players to get it down to 70.
Are you man enough to take the Ultimate dynasty challenge?

Just played a rough game against #3 Ohio State. I ended up losing 41-39 because I couldn't convert my 3rd straight 2-Pt Conversion. My QB that threw 6 picks last week threw for 339 Yds and 4 TDs this week.

Next up, #1 Alabama

I went with my created college UVA at Wise. Independent replacing UAB with updated conference changes.

Just played a rough game against #3 Ohio State. I ended up losing 41-39 because I couldn't convert my 3rd straight 2-Pt Conversion. My QB that threw 6 picks last week threw for 339 Yds and 4 TDs this week.

Next up, #1 Alabama

I simmed my first year and went 5-7. I been pulling out some nice juco's some been as high as a +8-9 overall when scouting. I am going to have to start looking at 1* freshmen because I am running the risk of not having enough players because of the 1-2 years left of the incoming juco's. I did a nice HB transfer from I think Alabama. This is going to fun.

If you look hard enough you can find some gems down there. I would use the JuCos to play now while red shirting the others to get some progression time before needing them.

I don't understand how you can become a 6* with just 1*'s? I mean the only way is if you played the games right? Maybe make it so that once you're a 3* you can recruit 2*'s, once you're a 4 star program you can recruit 3*'s?

I mean even if you recruited the best possible gem 1*'s there is no way you can simulate and win, but if you're playing you could I suppose

You'd need to play with easy sliders, which I think most people do.

Win totals and/or team goals will work up your team's prestige (correct me If I am wrong).

Win totals and/or team goals will work up your team's prestige (correct me If I am wrong).

Your team's prestige is solely influenced by your final ranking every season.

Of course your final ranking if greatly influenced by your win totals, but the previous poster's point is valid. If you play w/ sliders set that you win games you should win and lose games you should lose (IE. not sliders where you nearly beat super powers like Ohio), then your record will stay average at the very best (since your team will always be bad since you only have 1* talent).

Hey does anyone have an offense for this GSU team? I've been trying out all of the generic ones and I just tried out Air Force. It didn't work well...... Any help is appreciated!

I see your point about sliders (which is a good thing). Also long as you recruit smart you pull some nice juco's and hidden gems Frosh and get your ranked up. As for always being bad, in theory yes but, with stick skills no.

I always base my offense around the one back. Since I been running it. I can play with about any team and build around it. I made Dennis Erickson old Miami/Washington St offense. Also I love Eastern Michigan and Colorado St. playbook (both are one back)
