Anyone have this issue?

When I am playing in CCM offline, I go to make a depth chart change and the screen and game completely freeze forcing me to reboot. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks for any tips on how to keep this from happening.

If you are an owner - Make sure no one has the same number jersey. That's how mine kept freezing,

I cant seem to make a new Thread so im piggybacking and anyone have THIS issue:

1. Started an offline connected Franchise with New England as a Rookie coach. Julian Edelman is in my team for first 3 pre season games and then he simply vanishes from Roster and I can see no new stories or understand why?

This ruined the season for me as he's one of my fave players so I start over. This time I select online connected franchise. This time I also sign Randy Moss as Free Agent. Come the 4th pre season game Moss AND Edelman have vanished? I see a story saying 'Pats release Moss' but I never did and why would I after only signing him 2 games ago. Also where is Edelman?

What is happening?

2. I understand there is a patch for Madden 25 but its not automatically downloading as far as I can tell. How do I make this happen?

Is this for M25? Either game, make sure you go to settings and turn off the auto-fill and other CPU made options. It could be that you are simulating preseason and the cpu is cutting them. If they aren't in free agents or on another team, check the transactions menu to see if he retired. That's just a huge glitch if he's not anywhere on any of those lists

Hi

Yes its Madden 25 on the PS3. Its so bizarre it happened in Offline Franchise and I figured maybe some weird bug or that I hadnt selected to renew his contract. SO I started again as said in Online and in pre season the extend contracts isnt an open option anyway so couldnt be that.

He played in my 3rd pre season game and then isnt in Roster for 4th and final preseason game

When I get home I'll query the transactions but not sure how I check if hes on other team?

The fact it might be a huge glitch is worrying, hence me also asking how I update with latest patch? (sorry havent used my PS3 for a long time)

I'll also check the settings for auto fill. What should they be to ensure the CPU doesnt do this sort of thing?

There shoudn't be any more patches for 25.

You can go to the Team Roster menu and switch between teams and positions. Just go thru quickly to see if anyone has Edelmen on their team.

Also the CPU and auto-fill option are usually near the bottom of the Settings screen. Make sure to read what they all do, I can't remember exactly. If you sim through pre-season the CPU can make some changes that don't make sense sometimes

He shows as a free agent now

I have checked settings and cannot see anything which states anything to do with cutting players ?

I now have an option I guess tio start league again but without knowing setting to change it will happen again surely? Or I could sign him again as free agent but again non the wiser as to how to stop auto cutting ?

You have to make your cuts to your roster prior to advancing to the next week or the CPU is forced to delegate the cuts to your "staff" lol.

Probably cut Edelman due to a higher salary lol.

Just make sure you cut your roster down to the correct size before advancing each preseason week.

Well yeah if you don't make cuts yourself the CPU will be forced to make them for you. Usually salary, need, or rating based. Just do the cuts manually next time

Also if he is a free agent you can easily sign him back to the team.

Edit - keep in mind the max number of players is 53. I usually trim the roster down to that number, THEN simulate the entire pre-season.
