Re: MLB 15 The Show "Character Artists" Stream Recap
yeah its probably capped, and don't forget that arm angle is a factor as well.
The only thing I don't like is the fact that movement has a strong influence on pitch confidence, maybe that's something that can be looked at in the future (making it strictly command based is ideal).
Maybe all he meant was that the movement in game is calculated based on the pitcher's movement rating and arm angle and they got that movement rating based on whatever data they got from mlb.com or pitchf/x.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show "Character Artists" Stream Recap
I don't know anything about Seattle or San Francisco's new alternates and since I doubt I'll be playing as either much I don't really care...but the logic that user data keeps an old jersey over a new alternate (that will presumably be worn enough to warrant inclusion) is confusing.
Without these new alternates in the game, how can there be an accurate comparison of usage data vs historic uniforms? I think it's pretty obvious that people will use a jersey that's included over one that isn't.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show "Character Artists" Stream Recap
Well from the stream they seemed to imply that they used some sort of pitchf/x data to get movements on pitches, but I am not sure if all that means is 1-99 on the movement rating or if they actually hard coded player ____'s 4SFB with X and Y movement. Ramone specifically said they looked at the axes of each pitcher. Could it be attached to the pitching motion or player?

Re: MLB 15 The Show "Character Artists" Stream Recap
Things like: Retractable roofs, Correct all-star unis, team unis in the editor, More uniform slots [so things like teams having more than two alternates wouldnt be a problem (mariners, giants, rangers)], new player models etc.
But none of those have come to fruition unfortunately. Maybe in future years (even though some of those things have essentially been ruled out).NFL : Atlanta Falcons
MLB : Toronto Blue Jays

I think the ommision of a new and current uniform is a mistake. With 10 slots per team, that should be enough to accommodate for all the current uniforms and the most popular throwback. I wonder if telemetry takes into account online games? I'm sure I'm not alone in choosing my uniform based on the opponents selection. <sarcasm> Have to love the mix and matchers. </sarcasm> That being said, I'm sure the "turn ahead the clock" uniforms would be overly used, and thus popular too. To each their own. It's not a puchase killer. It's a great game made by a company light years ahead of its competition (cough EA cough). I just disagree with popularity at the expence of authenticity.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show "Character Artists" Stream Recap
A lot of things were expected with the jump to ps4 for the Show.
Things like: Retractable roofs, Correct all-star unis, team unis in the editor, More uniform slots [so things like teams having more than two alternates wouldnt be a problem (mariners, giants, rangers)], new player models etc.
But none of those have come to fruition unfortunately. Maybe in future years (even though some of those things have essentially been ruled out).but I understand priorities .
Well that being said I think the game is still very nice graphically and Im liking the new gear especially the catchesrs and gloves but Im hoping to see some sky screen shots with all the different colors and shades at different times .
I like the Radio show or Inside the Show as it adds depth and its sounds like a recap show you might hear in real life so a nice touch !
As far as players models goes I think alot of the gripe is not that there bad but there just old looking after around four years of continual tweaks to a similar model and now they just look like a ps3 model but in better definition kinda like alot of the old animations if that makes sense. Finally Roster share in NHL 22 ! Dreams do come true ! To Garryowen and Glory boys !Comment

MLB 15 The Show "Character Artists" Stream Recap
The only QC adjustment they've stated is that pitchers at the plate always start with a 1-1 count for bunting purposes.
EDIT: forgot about fewer full counts.Last edited by Jimmydm90; 03-05-2015, 03:12 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show "Character Artists" Stream Recap
Just wondering I thought when they got on the ps4 we would possibly be able to see the real team colors in the player edit screen instead of the standard show colors ? Just not a priority ? Thanks to anyone who can answer this .
Oh and has Quick counts been redone ? all counts are 1-1 now ? so how it played last year has been rewritten ?Last edited by Stolm; 03-05-2015, 12:25 PM.Comment

I will probably have to stay away from the boards for a couple weeks after release. Let the insanity pass, then carefully come back lolPSN: OverPar8Comment

"The developers travel to spring training sites to capture minor leaguers' faces before they are called up to the majors."
So this means we will have face scans for Bryant, Kang, Castillo, Tomas Etc., when they are called up. If so this is awesome and I am surprised that it isnt getting more mention.Comment
