How many games do you play per season in Franchise?

How many games do you play per season in franchise mode? I try to play one game per series unless it's a crucial series in the standings and it takes forever to get through seasons. I can obviously imagine playing all 162 would take even longer. How many games do you play per season to make sure you make it through multiple seasons at a reasonable rate?

I play every single game from Spring Training to Playoffs (providing I make it)

I usually find myself restarting Franchises a lot. But when I'm in them I usually play every game, unless I'm against a team I don't feel like playing more than once or twice. I'll also skip if I have to go up against R.A. Dickey or someone like that, unless it's a big game.

I used to only play one per series, or sometimes less depending. But that was before I could carry my save file over. I started up a Royals franchise last year in MLB 14 and am leading the division at 16-9. I have played every game and put in hours of work into it so I definitely plan to carry this save file forward. I'll likely start up one or two others on MLB 15 that I will be doing the same with.

It never made sense before because you'd never get far enough before the next game came out unless you had insane amounts of time. I find that quick counts really allows me to get 2-3 games in per day even with a busy schedule while also giving me enough control to feel like I truly played the game myself instead of simming.

One game per series during the regular season; every game during the playoffs. That way I get a good mix of teams and pitchers, and I also get to play all of the postseason games.

I also do one a series. Or around 50ish a season. If I'm far out of playoffs In September I'll sim most of it or vice versa if I'm 10 games up. Obviously play ever playoff game.

I've been playing The Show for 8 years now. I always play franchise and yet I've NEVER finished one season.

One year I got through 90-95 games or so.

I play every game of any franchise I start, but I'm constantly restarting with different teams.

I feel like I'm cheating to sim through games but I may have to do this if I ever want to finish a season.

Quick Counts really help, and it's just accelerating counts, cheating. I guess we have the same problem with restarting though haha. I restart for various reasons but I'm sure I could get through at least one full season if I kept one from start to finish

I don't use quick counts for the same reason I don't skip games. It just doesn't feel right to me.

I've restarted franchise for various reasons though.

Made trades I later regret, want to play with something new and shiny or sometimes just bored with the same team everyday (2 or 3 times a day).

Overall I play well over 162 so it's not time that's the problem.

This year I'm looking for a team to rebuild (Philly???) and stick with it....maybe.

I've never gotten very deep into franchise. Last year I started a fastasy draft franchise and got through about a half of season.

This year I think I will do a Cardinals franchise. To get through it I think I will use player lock to control all the different players except the pitcher and catcher. Maybe something like

Monday - Left Field
Tuesday - Center Field
Wednesday- Right Field
Thursday - First
Friday - Second
Saturday - Shortstop
Sunday - Third

I play one game a week and I alternate between Friday night and Saturday day games. I sim the rest. Then, if I make the playoffs I'll play those games.

I'd rather get through a bunch of seasons so I can actually build a team or continue to win with a team, just depends on which one I pick. I like to see prospects grow within my franchise.

I tried playing all 162 games once and I wanted to lick the paint off the wall waiting for the offseason. I love the offseason stuff.

I see this subject every year and I always like to read what fellow members do with franchise playing options. Always learn alternative methods to enhance the franchise experience.

Every year I go with the Cubbies and Yanks. (good way to see all the great ballparks in each league) I usually play 1 game in each series. As the season develops, I will play additional games in a series for important matchups or traditional type like the Cubs/Cardinals and Yanks/BoSox.
