Did the devs mention if it's possible to have like a playoff atmosphere for the game if you played a play now game in October (Or even in September possibly)... so you dont have to actually play the actual postseason mode if you didn't want to. (Like if you were just in the mood for one game, but wanted to have high crowd activity).

Maybe they could just make it so you can edit the number of rounds and and games per series in Postseason Mode. Set both to '1' and there you go. A toggle at select stadium screen for 'postseason atmosphere' would be fine too. -

I think they should just implement a rivalry mode kinda like the old college football video games. Say the yanks vs mets play in franchise mode (subway series) , just have the crowd amped up more and maybe have different presentation/commentary/cut scenes for those rivalries, it would be nice to have it in exhibition mode also.Comment

Not directed at you but this is why I hate this gen and last gen of gaming. Where do they get this data? Do they take into account the massive amounts of people that play the mode offline? How many houses of brothers, fathers and sons, roommates and gamers without internet? People who love baseball games but dont post feelings about it in online forums? I wouldn't bother with this game online after 10 years its still unplayable.
I dont even sign in when I play the show. I'm sure they have good reasons but a domes roof cannot close for 3 generations of games, 10 years and I cant pause the game go into a menu and open/close the roof but data shows nobody plays rivalry mode? Data shows everyone wants the freaking roofs to close.Comment

Even if you played it offline, the data was still sent to SCEA. They get ALL KINDS of data on what's being played, how often, how it's being played, etc... On the other point of the roofs, that's a WHOLE DIFFERENT story. Remember a few years ago EA supposedly did a study that said the majority of Madden players dont want to play offline franchise mode, so over the past few years they got completely rid of that option, its online connected blah blah blah, ok so i wonder what the show's data shows about people liking or disliking offline franchise mode? Because me personally, i am still upset they stripped franchise mode down to nothing in the show, i know they added some new contracts to ern money for your team but why did they strip out the rest of it? Ticket prices and concessions, all that, did the data show that people want a pretty bare bones offline franchise mode? They should and need to add on to offline franchise mode, it "should be" the most important mode imo.Comment

Alot of the stuff they "ripped" out because it really was only cosmetic. It did not function in a meaningful way. You could change ticket prices, but it didn't affect any part of the game. It was all fluff.
I believe we will see that and more...functioning soon....as they get their legs under them.Comment

Yeah, I recall some years ago the devs saying they were working on the removed franchise features and would reimplement them when they were perfected (much improved).
I think one of the big hurdles for stadium roofs could very well be that it would require a totally different way of lighting those stadiums.
Hopefully someday SCEA can implement a team and player rivalry system with a dynamic memory much like Shadows of Mordor had with the nemesis system.Comment

Not everyone cares about roofs closing in the game. I would rather have them open. I don't think baseball or football should ever be played in a dome. They are outdoor sports, that's where they started and that's where they should be played, outdoors.
Also all baseball and football fields should be grass. No fake stuff of any kind. Although the stuff they have now is better then it used to be, but it should still all be real grass.Comment

I really think the dome roof issue should be adressed. Like i get it, being able to close the roof during the game or so would need too much developing, lighting and everything.
But then at least give us the option to choose before the game whether the roof is closed or not.
I'm a Blue Jays fan and fact is in real life they hardly have the dome opened during the first month of the season.
Now i may prefer the dome being open when i attend a game but it would still be cool to get to choose whether the dome is open or not!
I can't recall which game had it but i'm pretty sure i played a sports game before where you could choose between roof open and roof closed. Anybody know which one im talking about?Comment
