Does Anyone Still Play Madden 08?

As much as Madden 15 is a bit more enjoyable than previous versions, I can't help but to miss Madden 08. To me that is hands down the best one for out of the 360/xb1 era.

I liked the fact that in the game when you throw passes, the entire defense doesn't automatically all go to the ball and the different skills actually mattered. I am almost tempted to get a 360 again just for that and Fight Night Champion.

I feel like a lot of these games (not just Madden) are rip offs now. $60 for half of a game the another $30 for "dlc" is getting ridiculous, especially when these games still look and feel like the previous gen. Just wondering if anyone is doing rosters

Personally, can't believe you just said Madden 08 (Vince Young Cover) was the best, but to each his own. For me it was Madden 10, everything before that was terrible.

Still play it on my PC with updated rosters and uniforms. Vision cone was the best feature they ever added really made it feel different playing with Drew Bree's vs josh mccown. They also removed the quick button for some reason.

Personally, can't believe you just said Madden 08 (Vince Young Cover) was the best, but to each his own. For me it was Madden 10, everything before that was terrible.

If you are talking simply about PS3/360 Madden's, then I could probably agree with the bolded....but Madden was great on the PS2/XBox...especially in the early-mid 2000s.

Madden 08 on the PC is still superior to any Madden released in the last decade IMO.

In terms of PS3/360...Madden 12 is where its at IMO.

I stopped playing 08 last year or the year before for PC. It, like MVP 05, really started showing its age and frankly, the newer games have a lot more to offer and when you make the jump from playing 08, to the newer iterations, you really start to notice that. You can add the new logos/jerseys/rosters on it, but its still the same dated engine.

I still absolutely love the controls for 08 though, pre-snap adjustments were a breeze( i think this is more me having to re-learn it on x360, getting there though), the vision cone was amazing. Aside from that, the game is dated and shelved for me. Still holding out hope for Maddens return to PC one day though..I was really hoping once EA got Origin sorted they'd give it another shot (since they claimed piracy was such an issue) but I guess not.
