Error trying to add created player to roster...(you no longer own card trying to)
So I started a DD. Played a few games. Trained my one created player up a little where I think he's good enough to add to the squad. Click on add to squad. Clicked multiple different players to switch him out (hitters and pitchers) and a screen pops up and says "you no longer own the card you are trying to utilize". What the heck? I didn't do anything wrong. And I'm confused.Uncle Ray Ray wants to Play!!Tags: None -

Getting the exact same thing and equally confused. Played vs someone earlier who had their man in the lineup so it's definitely possible, but I'm clueless -

I have the exact same issue. Was just going to post the same question as a matter of fact. For those who can assist - here is a video of what happens:

I was having this issue before I left for work, and I am actually really happy to see that everyone seems to be having the same issue, instead of just me screwing something up.
Im sure they will fix this soon.Comment

Re: Error trying to add created player to roster...(you no longer own card trying to)
So here's what I figured out. It seems like it should be easier than this but this will allow you to do anything.
Feed your player all of the cards you aren't using, except your lowest overall starting pitcher which you need to put in the 5th spot on squad rotation.
After feeding him all the guys that you aren't using, hitting square to do "Best lineup" or "Best rotation" will put him the starting rotation.
Now, when the game starts... if he isn't the pitcher randomly selected, he will be on the bench. So when the position comes to the plate that you want him to play, sub him in.
From there, if you decide you want him to pitch, swap his position with the pitcher, and then swap a position player with the old pitcher who is now out in the field. What I am not sure of is if he is coming in "cold" so to speak since he doesn't have a bullpen session beforehand... but I do remember on the stream them talking about "you can have your player in the field the entire game and then come in and close" so I assume if you move him to pitcher he is warm. He does seem to have the endurance of a reliever though, not a starter... so don't expect to be able to pitch him for massive innings each game he isn't picked to start.
Same thing when you are done having him pitch, swap his position to where you want him in the field, that player you swapped with is now the pitcher, go to your bullpen and put in who you have warmed up.
Does this make sense? I can try to explain it better.Last edited by famousmortimer; 04-01-2015, 07:17 PM. Reason: Grammar, added thoughts about warming up for pitchingComment
