No more Highlight Reel??

I just finished my first game in Spring Training (Franchise mode) and noticed that you can't watch the highlight reel instead now you have to manually create your own replays via movie maker?? Why did they get rid of the highlight reel. Before you were able to save them too. So did they get rid of it??

Yep its gone and I was devastated dont know why as SCEA normally NEVER removes things and it was a huge piece of presentation for many .

Oh I think some said there numbers said not many watched it ?

I used to put on CPU vs CPU games in my franchise just to get a feel for what was going on in the league, especially in the postseason. Then I would watch the highlight reel to get a summary of the game. Kind of a shame I can't do this anymore.

Funny thing is i saw a OSD in the 9th that said to stay tuned and watch the post game highlights.
I think its new this year as i don't remember it in 14.

Yeah, it's disappointing. In 2014 they removed the option to have the no-doubt home run cam on or off, now this.

Is this the kind of thing that they can patch back into the game?

I've already expressed how disappointed I am that they made this decision and I really want it back

Hi, I saw your post and had a question ..... I'm somewhat of a newbie but if I do a franchise with the Pirates,are you saying I can watch my Pirates vs lets say Cubs(CPU) in a franchise game,if I set both teams to CPU ? I tend to sim a bunch of games anyway. Can you watch the whole gameplay,or is it quickly simmed ? Thanks

I have no idea why they removed this.

And we'll probably never know. But, the game is so dedicated to immersion... it just doesn't make any sense. It's a PS4 for crying out loud, surely it can't be a technical limitation?

Wow. This is really a strange year for the Show. Add this to the list of things they removed for no apparent reason. I loved the highlight reel and always looked forward to it at the end of games. This is just not like SCEA to remove this. Even if some people didn't use it (still would like to know where they got their data from) at least leave it in there for the people that do. You can skip if you'd like. Analog hitting needs to be brought back too.

SCEA has worked hard to make The Show unique and getting rid of its assets it built on over the years is reducing it to other games on the market. Hope '16 is the year they go back to what got them here in the first place. For me, analog hitting, highlight reel, and sounds of the show have to return next year!!!

I just don't understand their thought process to be honest. They want the show to be the most immersive sports titles ever, but the highlight reel was one of the most immersive parts of the post-game, so why remove it? Why not remove the not-so-immersive stuff like collecting baseball cards? And at the end of the game now, there is an option to view any play of the entire game. Why do I need that? Why add that and remove the highlight reel? Things that make you go hmmm...

I was also incredibly disappointed by this. I used to watch the postgame highlights after every game, every time.

You'd hope they'd expand the postgame, not scale it back considerably.

Add this to the list of removed features that I used to love. I'm also really missing the ability to use PCI with Pure Analog. Makes Pure Analog completely useless to me now. And many signature batter walk-up animations lost from 13 to 14 are still MIA.

I wish they'd stop taking my beloved features out

They removed it because some people didn't watch it? I have watched a LOT of videos of the game leading up to release, and just about all of the players were buttoning through all of the presentation elements. So to use their logic for removing the highlight reel, they may as well remove ALL of the presentation.

I am surprised because I thought that San Diego studios motto was authenticity in the presentation of MLB. Taking something out that adds to their already incredible presentation seems like a lazy persons move to me. Plenty of space on the Blu Ray. Why take this out?

Yea I used to love to sitting back after a game & watching highlights. Wish they could patch this back in. Don't understand the logic for taking it out in the first place

I still dont know how they gotta data on this as most I talk too always watched it ? whats it 1 minute at best ?

Now we have little pregame and no post game but something like this couldnt be patched back in could it ?
