What badges are you giving him? Here's what I'm thinking.

Must-have: One-man fastbreak, Microwave

All-around badges:dimer, bruiser, acrobat

Half-court badges: shot creator, pnr maesto, pet-move size-up, killer crossover, stepback freeze

Fast-break: lob-city passer

We have 4 slots left after giving him microwave & OMF. The problem with the half-court badges is that they can all be neutralised by gold PLD. Dimer & Lob City Passer might be wasted on him since his passing stats aren't that great and I'm not looking to drive and kick to much with him, either. Acrobat seems very helpful in lots of situations. Bruiser should be great because I will put him on my opponent's best scorer.

What badges are you giving him?

Microwave and bruiser for sure.

Besides that, I don't think he really needs any more badges.

So just put whatever you want on him. I'll probably leave the other spots blank.

He has a gold Volume Shooter badge. It essentially destroys what would otherwise be a good card.

It doesn't destroy the card, but it definitely makes it tougher to use him on offense, since he's always going to go cold if you don't feed him shots.

But Paul George is still one of the better defenders in the game, and volume shooter won't affect him on the defensive end. So he's worth putting in your lineup for defense alone. Gold/Sapphire PG13 have been in my lineup all year long for that reason. He is my designated LeBron/Carmelo/Durant stopper.

You're right. It doesn't destroy the card if you plan to cheese with him all game long. All of those stepback triple-contested 3s. That's the only plus. If you only plan to use him on D, then you're conceding the most powerful position on the floor (SF in 2k) to a D only player who is going to cover a great 2 way player (LeBron, KD, ect). This logic works great on an inbound with 20 seconds left, I don't think that's how anyone plans to use him.

I don't play like that. There are other guys who have his offensive and defensive abilities that aren't hindered by the volume shooter badge. I went against my better judgement and picked up Onyx Mitch Richmond, and it is either pass him the ball every time to shoot 50% from 3, or work him into the offense and pass it to him for a wide open shot and have him miss because he hasn't "gotten himself going" yet.

You only need to give him a couple layups/shots early in the game and you're good to go. Volume shooter is annoying, but it's not that bad as long as you only have 1-2 guys with it.
