Would it be possible to develop a game-editing tool for College Hooks 2k8 or NCAA 10?

I had this random idea in another thread and I wanted to see what others thought about it. We're probably never going to get another new college basketball game. This year Raidersfan ran into a problem with his 360 version of 2k8 which forced him to end his yearly roster edits incomplete. It maybe very difficult for him to do anymore due to the parameters of the game itself. This indicates to me that steps may need to be taken to insure future updates can be made to the game itself outside of what the disc on console editing features allow.

Name changes the like are awesome, but I'm wondering if it would be possible for somebody to develop a full game editor for either 2k8 or NCAA basketball10, similar to the game editor utilized by the guys in the NCAA football forums.

Theoretically, such a tool could allow the dedicated members of OS to keep a great game like 2k8 fresh for the foreseeable future by not only editing the rosters, but also editing the pre-season top 25, editing schedules, etc.

Does anybody think it would be possible? Do any of you coding wizards have any thoughts?

It's possible, and it's an older game so it's probably easier to crack. But I'm not a programmer, so I have no idea where to start, and I have no knowledge on the subject. We would need to find someone who can program because it seems like there is no one in the community who wants to/can. I don't know how we'd get someone to willingly volunteer a lot of their time to do this if they don't have an interest in the game, so it seems like a dead end unless we all want to chip in to offer to someone.

I don't think Xanthol has been on here in ages. If anybody is friendly with any of those creators feel free to please recommend this thread to them. They maybe our only hope.

i sometimes run into problems with the yearly roster edits as well.

although, its partially my fault due to a mishap i had in year 1.
