I am currently working on creating and developing the 1982-1983 NBA Season. This roster set is for NBA 2K11 - and for the 360 only.
There were 23 teams in the NBA that season (only 12 made the playoffs). The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Lakers for the NBA Title. Moses Malone was league MVP.

I am using PortlandBlazer's 1984-1985 season as my original template. All credit goes to him for some of the greatest classic rosters ever created. I've learned most of what I know from him, and others here at OS who love these type of Hardwood Classic files.
STATUS REPORT:
- I have created a Word document in which I have went over every team from that season, updating all the POST-TRADE DEADLINE rosters. Fortunately, the league didn't have tons of transactions like today's NBA so it's a bit easier to do this.
- Of the 23 teams, I have ALL 23 TEAMS fully named (meaning: all their players created - no ratings edits YET, but players are created - I had to create over 70 to get the full rosters accurate. LOT of work!).
- Now that all the players are created and put on the appropriate teams, I will start the process of updating everything for each team - jersey numbers, ages, years pro, attributes, and depth charts/minutes. It's a tedious process, that takes a pretty good deal of time. So creating the players is only half the battle...
- Once finished, you'll need to use FOUR CREATED TEAMS for this file: Cavaliers, Pacers, Nets & Supersonics (and I think you'll be very pleased with the color schemes that I used for them). I will also note which classic rosters to use.
I'll post more details here as I make more progress, and again, my timetable to get this done is (NOW) mid-summer. I can peck away at this a bit each day. It's a lot of work, but it's a fun hobby. The drawback is that finding good information on players from that era is tough. So I'm using the books and magazines I have (I have NBA registers for numerous years that I purchased sometime back on Ebay). I'm scouring pictures on the internet so I can get the player models as solid as possible, and seeing what kind of accessories guys used (mostly high socks, some elbow or knee pads, and wrist bands).

The legend has returned! Lol, still playing 2k11 with your sliders and rosters from you and others from time to time. You guys really did something special and I'll definitely fire up my 360 when these drop.
