    Will there be "flashback" cards?

Has there been any word on them creating "flashbacks" of current players, ones that are in the decline of their careers who were once good and are in game.

    Ichiro
    Pujols
    Torii Hunter
    Rafael Furcal
    Tim Lincecum
    Brad Penny
    Ryan Howard
    CC Sabathia
    Justin Morneau
    Francisco Rodriguez
    Jimmy Rollins
    Carl Crawford
    Jake Peavy
    Beltran
    Teixeira
    JOE MAUER!?
    Ervin Santana

Just something I would love to see. Not immediately, but something over time. Love the game so besides the BIG GLARING bugs. Glad I got this game, it was iffy and I pulled the trigger. Loving it compared to MUT.

I hope they add cards like that. That's what makes the mode have more replay value.

Id like to see them contact other past players too. Get as many different players from different eras as possible.

I'm 80% certain that they have confirmed that they are not doing any sort of special cards like other Ultimate Team game modes.

They simply are going to adjust the stats of the current cards, depending on how players perform each week.

This is my first time played MLB The Show and I never really got into online play with other sports games but if they dont add new cards occasionally isnt everyone going to have really similar lineups eventually?

It would just seem like with no new cards, people who play DD a lot will eventually all end up with the same cards and the same teams. If they adjust the ratings all they will do is put guys who get higher ratings in and take out guys who ratings drop.

No new cards just doesnt seem like a formula for keeping a game mode fresh and relevant for more than a couple months

Based solely off early feedback and hype, I'd venture to guess that DD is going to be a pretty huge success for SDS this year. And if is that is the case, I could possibly see them pumping more assets into the market. After all, who wouldn't want a Yankees Ichiro or a Cards Pujols? This is something that other UT modes do very well (particularly 2K's MyTeam) and they'd be crazy to not consider it.

I'd also love to see new legends, but maybe that's a more complicated issue.

I have been wondering if they would add any cards. Do they add cards based on player performance, all-stars etc? Im new to DD, but have played MUT and FUT for about 3 yrs.

You mean a Mariners Ichiro? lol

Yankees Ichiro was past his prime by a bit
