Anyone make any cool trades in their franchise?
I'm playing as the Red Sox I'm deep into May and Mookie Bets wasn't doing it for me. I sent him to Arizona for Mark Trumbo and in his first at bat Trumbo hits a 420 ft shot. So far so good...

Re: Anyone make any cool trades in their franchise?
ironically, in my Padres chise, i traded for Mookie and he's an outstanding doubles hitter from the 2 hole. Usually top 5 doubles for the yearYankees, Manchester United, Chicago Bears, New York Rangers -
Re: Anyone make any cool trades in their franchise?
Playing a Cubs franchise. The Cubs have a lot of infield farm depth, but my staff was struggling. Jason Hammel was getting torched in the middle innings, and Hector Rendon was the shakiest closer in the league. We were stagnant at 20-19, 4.0 behind the Cardinals and Pirates.
I wound up trading Starlin Castro and Mike Olt for Alex Cobb and Carly Jepsen.
Hammel moved to the pen. Since then, I swept the Padres on the road and took 2 of 3 from Arizona. Jepsen is flawless as a closer, and Hammel even gave me 5 scoreless innings in that stretch. 25-20 now and closing the gap.Comment

In my Giants Franchise I moved Posey to the Nats for Harper, Pence back to the Phillies for Cliff Lee, Cain to Cleveland for Swisher. Also signed Brian Wilson and Ryan Doumit on the Free Agents list. And finally, brought back The Melk Man from Chicago in exchange for McGehee and Tim Hudson.Comment

Re: Anyone make any cool trades in their franchise?
In my fantasy draft season I managed to trade for Altuve. The team was looking for a 1st baseman, and I had a top 50 prospect stuck behind Joey Votto.
It was kind of cool because it seemed to fit, and was pretty realistic.
The trade system still needs serious work though.Comment

Forced a straight up trade, gave the Reds Kimbrel for Aroldis. I briefly considered getting rid of Heyward but in the end I couldn;t go through with.Talk about things nobody cares.

Traded Tyler Lyons, Mark Reynolds, and Dean Anna to the Blue Jays for Mark Buehrle. He got a no decision is his only start in a Cards uniform.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Anyone make any cool trades in their franchise?
I brought Eric Young over to OAK from ATL for a pitching and a catching prospect. I love his speed and his positional versatility with the ability to play both 2B and the OF positions at a plus level. At $2M, he's a bargain, and he's a switch hitter to boot.
He's hitting .286 in early returns and has already bought me two extra runs in week one of the regular season with his legs.Comment

Re: Anyone make any cool trades in their franchise?
In my Brewers Franchise I traded Lohse, Donnie Murphy & Johnny Hellweg to KC for Yordano Ventura at the All Star Break. First game after break I no-hit the Pirates in Yordano's first game as a Brewer.

Re: Anyone make any cool trades in their franchise?
Totally remade the Rays. Brought back Big Game James, moved Jennings and Odorizzi to the Cubs for Castro, sent Balfour to the Dodgers for Eithier, signed Motte & Coke to bolster the bullpen and traded a prospect for Swisher.
Toyed with Matt Moore and Loneynto the Cards for Adams but decided against it.
Enjoying the upgraded offense over the real thing.Comment
