June 21st, 2015 Jayson Heyward hits his first homerun as a Cardinal (Stat Anomalies)

It took until June 21st (Father's Day) for Jason Heyward to hit his first homerun as a St.Louis Cardinal. And he did it off a Cole Hamels.

Coming into the day, Heyward was hitting .242 with 0 HR's and 21 RBI's. But finally, after 70 games, Heyward has put a 1 in the homerun column.

So any stat anomalies for your teams? In your franchise? I have others, but will share as the thread goes along.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

The oddest stat or milestone I saw in my franchise was Mark Trumbo hit .214 with a on base % of .257 while hitting 31 home runs. That might be the least impressive 30 home run season ever.

Not necessary for this thread. Please keep to the topic at hand which has nothing to do with the real world value of a trade.

I'm in the middle of May and Curtis Granderson is leading the senior circuit with 9 homeruns but is hitting below .200

I've hit three with Kris Bryant. And apparently he does everything except hit home runs in the Majors in real life.

There are always guys who perform better or worse than expected but Heyward's numbers in your franchise are not far off his real numbers. His rbi numbers in your franchise are higher than in real live, avg is the same and he only has 2 hr.

My Jason Heyward is the complete opposite. He leads the NL, maybe tied MLB, with 11 home runs; somewhere around May 13th.

Along with Matt Adams, he was also hitting around .330 - .340 going into the Philly series at the end of April. That has dropped about 50 points.

The most interesting one I found was last season around the All Star Break, Johnny Cueto was 14-0 but the Reds 5th pitcher had a record of 2-17.

I remember simming (but not saving the file) til the All-Star break just to check on sim stats and noticed Bryce Harper had only 4 home runs while Jason Heyward hit 24. However, I do think Heyward's hitting attributes are too strong in the game.

A few years ago Mark Reynolds hit under .200 with 32 homers, so it's definitely a reality, though unusual.

In September of 2017 in my RttS Left Fielder career, on the Pirates: Does havnig three staring pitchers with ERA below 2.00 on the team count as an anomaly? What if one of them is Vance Worley?

Things I've noticed: Home runs have been turned way down at default sliders, I hardly hit any in non-simmed games. Its like they took the home runs nerfed them, but accidentally made base stealing too easy.

What makes it even more strange is that Heyward's attributes are significantly lower vs LHP's.

For me Brian McCann leads the league in HR's and RBI's with 14HRs and 29 RBIs on May 9th. He was on a tear in April having a few multi HR games in that month. He has fallen back down to earth a bit in the month of May but still leads the league in those 2 categories.

My Kris Bryant hit .100 and was sent back to the minors in late May, along with the similarly under-performing Soler...

On the other hand, Baez has hit 12 HR and hit .225 into Mid June and LaStella is hitting over .300...

Alcantara is also ripping it up...

My experience with this title has always been that no two seasons will stat out similarly, even with the same roster / ratings...

It's the "variance of baseball", in FULL effect...

I simmed quite a few seasons for testing purposes the first week in April, and I happened to notice A-Rod retire after one of the 2015 seasons with exactly 700 HR's. Which meant he hit 46 homers in the simmed season. I thought that was an anomaly but as of right now he's on pace for 42.
