That's why he said he's downloading it on Steam.

However you are correct. Logitech wheels are a no-go on consoles, sadly.

Bumped up difficulty to 70 and it was quite the challenge.

Played a little bit of the PC version before work this morning. Not going to talk about graphics because that is obvious. Played using an XB1 controller and I can recommend spending time in the settings tweaking deadzones and sensitivities to get the feel. What i noticed, in that this is a sim racer and not arcade, On lap 1 of the glen in an M3 racecar, i couldnt do near anything in the corners. Once i got some heat in the tires, it was a different story. Anyone coming to this from a console perspective will have a slight change of pace. If you are used to things like iRacing then it will feel like normal. It is not a pure sim, but it is much more sim than the likes of Forza and GT. Can't wait to jump into the career mode and progress through.

Racing with the karts is a crapshoot. The starting grid for the 10 lap sprint race is drawn at random, and the order in which the sprint race finishes determines the grid for 15 lap feature race.

Also tried the LMP and F1 cars and I couldn't get the power down without lighting the wheels up.

Karts have been a struggle. easy to lose grip then instantly regain grip and fly off the track. going slower and taking my time seems to help. I currently have difficulty to 85, and 4 race(2 events, sprint, main) in the championship, 4 different winners. I finished 2nd, 2nd, 3rd?(I forgot actually), then 1st. has been sort of fun, but looking forward to moving on.

Played for about 3 hours so far on PS4 using the dual shock. Hard work after using a wheel on PS3 for so long, and will definitely be looking at upgrading to a TS300 asap. Game is great, nice visuals, sound is superb, AI is outstanding as long as you drive properly and show them some respect. Karts are a handful, but as long as you stay on track and don't try and open the throttle while on the rumble strips it is all good. Also tried one of the GT cars around Bathurst, and it is epic! Ran a single race weekend around Barcelona in formula A, and was super impressed. Helmet cam in the open wheelers is just brilliant. Loving the fact you can run a full race weekend and customise just about everything, even just sitting in the pits and watching the AI turn laps is great, as you can bring up their telemetry and see exactly how they are gaining time on you. Highly recommend this for anyone that loves racing, and is sick of grinding through GT or Forza to unlock more cars that you'll never use.

Man this game is fun. Got 4 kart races in tonight. Finished 6th and 5th IIRC in the first two. Then 3rd and 1st in the last two. Playing on 70 AI. I've got a great feel for the karts now. I ended up lapping one opponent last race in the win. I only won by a second over 1st place it said, but it felt like once I took 1st, I never felt pressure.

I'll see how the next few races go, but I might be bumping it to 80 soon. The game is just gorgeous. I went from having it maxed out just about to having everything at high and it is still gorgeous and with those settings it is buttery smooth. I plan to get a 970 eventually, and when I do, it'll be back to Ultra with everything, but even with everything as high as it goes or just high instead of Ultra, it's a beautiful game. The lighting is great.

I'm loving it so far. Wish I didn't have work in the morning, but I definitely will get more playtime in this weekend.

Playing on pc. Graphics are very nice and the game handles well with a 360 controller. Project Cars is a quality game. It seems that you can play with total sim realism or fairly arcade. Solid title, if you're a racing fan I highly recommend it.

Downloaded midnight of the 7th even though it wasn't supposed to release until the 8th here in the UK.

First impressions: very good. I'm an Xbox guy and I really prefer it to Forza. While it doesn't have all the customisation or number of cars, the dynamic time of day and weather far outweighs that. I don't think I've ever panicked so much as towards the end of my first race weekend in a Formula B car at Hockenheim when it began going really cloud in the last few laps and there were some raindrops in the last lap.

At first it was really difficult just to keep my car on the track. Especially somewhere like Monaco, the surface is so slippery that you find yourself just sliding into corners. I'm getting the hang of it now and I've bought a wheel for my Xbox to help because using a controller doesn't do this game justice.

I used my 360 controller, too. Downloading and installing the driver for my Logitech MOMO wheel was a bit of a pain, but has worked out fine. Either way, regardless of what controller I use, Project CARS is great. I'll have to tweak the settings on my ASUS ROG to maximize the look of the game.

Am I disappointed by the initial mix of racing machines? Yes, but the gameplay experience seems to override that so far. Early on, it reminds me of GTR2. I get the sense Project CARS will age well, get better, be more enjoyable, and offer plenty of challenges. I'm optimistic.
