Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Keano That was a lot of activity in the transfer window, but I like the moves. A 75 rated goalkeeper is not bad and should be serviceable for you next year either in the Championship or the Premier League, and you also added 3 defenders and 3 midfielders with the oldest guy being 23 of that group. Tough to go out in the FA Cup against Sheffield Wednesday, but your form in league play was solid with 3 wins, 1 loss, and 1 draw. Next month's game with Brighton is a big one as they currently have a 3 point lead on you. The rest of the games look winnable, so that game is the tipping point. Good luck.

10cabee Tough results against Manchester City and Liverpool, especially considering Liverpool got 2 late goals to steal victory. What a shootout with Aston Villa at 4-4, very exciting. Appiah continues to score in droves and it's really an accomplishment that he's leading the Premier League in goals. May looks quite easier, so hopefully you get the desired results.

2nd update - Europa League! What an accomplishment for Exeter City in their first season in the Premier League to qualify for Europe. You really exceeded all expectations and Appiah is a big reason why, what a player.

texasbum A 90th minute winner by Barral to win the league title, it doesn't get much better than that! You had to win every game to pass Real Madrid and you did it. What an accomplishment for Deportivo. Like you said, there is still a lot to play for with the Copa del Rey and Champions League. Hopefully your club is in it for the long haul and is up to the challenge.

Blue Eagle I figured you would take care of Rostov and you did. I don't know how much you know about Torbinsky, but he's from a town in Russia called Norilsk that is above the Arctic Circle. It's so cold there that he learned how to play football indoors. He used to be a member of the Russian National Team, but is hitting his 30's now. He still has great pace though. Just a little info on him. Palacio is in really good form and it's good that you are getting good goalkeeping from Handanovic. Of your transfer rumours, I know the most about Witsel as a Zenit fan. I think he would be a great addition to your lineup as he can control the midfield and provide some goals as well.

Chico What a smashing of Napoli in the Champions League group stage, but tough to concede the 90th minute goal against Manchester City. Your B-team had some mixed results, with that Getafe game being marred by a red card for you. You exploded against Valladolid though with 5 goals. Hopefully Gomez and Campana can find there form after a tough month and don't turn out to be busts. 10th place sounds pretty bad, but when you consider you're only 4 points off 1st, it really isn't. A solid month next time will have you back on track.

Other comments - texasbum, I'm glad you're enjoying my Terek manager mode. I should have another update on it tomorrow. There are a lot of quality players in the Russian League, so hopefully my updates educate people on the talent that plays there. I wasn't sure how interesting people would find this one, so it is nice to hear it is well received.

Keano - Yes, I was happy with the transfers. Hopefully Sarkisov or Burmistrov can turn into my number one striker as Ailton has really underperformed. Mitrishev is still making a case for playing time though, so nothing will be handed to these guys. Mogilevets and Khodzhaniyazov are two youngsters from Zenit that I think can turn into real players down the road, especially Khodzhaniyazov. The month was pretty lackluster thanks to that horrible result against Tom Tomsk and Dinamo's 90th minute winner, but I can accept the draw with CSKA and the win over Rostov. I just need to ride out this tough stretch and find some more goals, and we'll be OK.
