I am looking to establish an ongoing league with a group of players who:
Are looking to play with others in a spirit of good natured competition and have fun while doing so.
Can play games between 9am - 9pm EST. While games can be played outside this window if both players agree, this league is intended to be a place for players who can play primarily in this window.
Can play one three game series every five days
Will communicate with other players in order to arrange game times, not just rely on hoping to catch people who are online when they are.
Play fair baseball as close as possible to how real games are played. There will be rules outlining what fair play means for this league.
Games must be live streamed and archived by home team for cases where a player wishes to bring rule possible rule infractions to the Commissioners attention.
Having been in a few leagues that have fizzled out already, I feel the best approach will be to start small. 8 or 10 player league to start, and will have a waiting list league to try out new players to add to season 2 and beyond.
Teams will be picked in random order when we have a full compliment of committed players. If your name comes up first, you will have first pick of teams and so on.
As we will be small, everyone will have a chance at a competitive team. Therefore to keep things simple for now, no trades or free agent signings. We will play with the Operation Sports 90 man rosters. Free agent signings will be permitted in the off season to replace any players lost to retirement.
I expect the settings will be HOF/HOF and Balks On (no fast pitching)
