    Opinions on Jordans

I was thinking of trying to save enough money to buy either the gold MJ 95-96 or the Ruby MJ 95-96 all time scorers.

I already have the MJ Dunkers.

Would this be worth it to do this or not? I was looking for more 3 pt. accuracy from the 95-96 card.

How do these MJ compare in ability.

Stat wise they seem very similar except for the 3pt ratings.

Thanks for any feedback on MJ.

    Re: Opinions on Jordans

I prefer the '89 Jordan. He is much cheaper and an "One of Kind" card. Only other OaK Jordan is the '93MJ. I don't have any problems with 3pt scoring, most of the time MJ'89 scores above 65% behind the line. '89 has 99 Dunk ratings, awesome passing stats and also the best Rebound stats of all Jordans. 40 badges and faster than all other Jordans except Dunker MJ. So if you want a real Jordan card get MJ'89 or if you need some higher 3pt stats get the MJ'93. MJ'96 costs three times more than '89MJ and has a dealbreaking 94 Dunk rating. If you really want to go for him get at least the Ruby Version with 36 badges, gold only has 33. Smartest choice would be to stick with the Dunker MJ and use your MTs on someone else.

I've heard the same thing, that 96 MJ is a very bad finisher compared to the other versions.

        Re: Opinions on Jordans

My only concern with the 89 Jordan was that his mid range tendencies and contested shot tendencies are good, but a step below the older versions. I ended up going with the 90-91 over the 92-93 for the slight boost in speed, and he was like 40k cheaper.

I don't mind the average 3 point rating because I only take them when he's open so he knocks down most of them. And when he catches fire, his 3 point rating increases to the point where it becomes even more consistent.

His 99 contested shot tendency and high 90s mid range shot tendencies are great. He hits so many shots as long as he gets a little bit of space.

I prefer almost any Gold Jordan to the Ruby Dunkers one who when I played a few games with him, just didn't play the way I expected him to play.

96 dunk rating is deal breaking? Lol.

He dunks on mostly everyone for me, his Ruby tendencies are 100 for flashy and contact dunks.

On the rare occasion, he doesn't dunk, he will almost always finish the layup.

Not the case at all with the ruby. He finishes almost everything at the rim for me, mostly on dunks.

I've had him for a substantial amount of games, playing in the first and second seeds.

I'm sure you're right, it's just what a friend who regularly used the 91 MJ before repeatedly told me.

Just save your mt if you have the Dunkers MJ, its not worth a 500-600k upgrade. If you really want to upgrade try to find a 92-93 badged out MJ for the cheap or save for another player. I've tried ruby scorers MJ and he's not much better then 92-93 or even Dunkers.

Nice to hear that you are happy with your card. I am just saying that a Jordan card without the best dunk rating is a joke and never worth the 600k when you can have better (faster, better rebounding + passing, more badges) and more accurate (99 Dunk, no Reggie Miller 3pt stats!) Jordan cards for around 200-250k.

So how do you find the Ruby Dunkers MJ 3 pt. shot to be? Are you consistent enough with him online and off with only the 84 3Pt. rating?

Dunker MJ is good from 3 and the release is easy. Best Jordan bang for the buck.

The speed and finishing are really impressive too.

I mean 84 with patch 4 is all any card needs and MJs animation is easy.

                            Re: Opinions on Jordans

Unless folks have tried 95-96 Ruby or Gold, one can only depend on someone else's input. As most don't have either, their inputs are discounted.

I've had several MJ-Golds, Sapphire and Ruby dunker MJ. I have Gold 95-96 presently. I would only switch to the Ruby MJ (or Pink Diamond), and never sell to purchase one of the others.

I wonder how many 95-96 Gold or Ruby owners traded down (i.e. sold on AH)? I suspect very few.

Now Kobe Onyx on the other hand versus Frobe, I sold my Onyx Kobe and repurchased Frobe....

I finally got the 95-96 ruby Jordan. If you have lots of MT and don't want any other player I highly recommend him. This guy is disgusting. He is an amazing finisher and great shooter. I was using the Ruby dunk Jordan until I got this one and don't regret it at all.

While I used the dunk MJ his 3pointer was great. I'd only shoot wide open 3s and hit 2-3 3s a game with him with 1 or 0 misses.
