MLB 15 The Show: Succeeding On and Off the Field in Diamond Dynasty

As the weeks have gone by, Diamond Dynasty has continued to be something I play on an almost daily basis. It's still popular to chat about among the staff as well, so it seems time to check in with a couple more tips for getting the most out of this popular mode nestled within MLB 15 The Show.

And just to be clear, I will be talking about how to get the most out of the auction house before discussing a couple basic strategies for when you get out on the field.

    Let's get to it.

Great article Chase. I've been getting really into the DD mode this year too.

I'm struggling a bit to follow the logic behind your Buy Now / Sell Now strategy though?

How is it that the players with the largest gap between Sell Price and Buy Price - in the negative direction - are the most likely to be able to be turned around for a profit? This seems counter-intuitive.

Your screenshot shows Betts with a Buy Now price of 750, yet you were able to buy him for 400 instead? Not following that. I must be missing something,

    Appreciate the help!

I am new as well but i just figured this out. He created a buy order for 400 and someone accepted and sold theirs for 400 than he was able to make a profit

I got that part Blessing, I just don't understand how:

        A. You can glean that is likely to be possible, when so many Buy Orders would be higher than yours.

        B. Its more likely to happen with players with the larger gaps. You'd think the smaller gaps would be more likely to find a period where the Sell Value crosses higher than your recent Buy Value.

Why would his Buy value plummet in half and then jump right back up?

If the lowest buy now is 750 and there is a buy order for 375 and i come in and and have the new highest buy order of 400 and someone sells it to me for 400. i can put it at a buy now of 700 or maybe even 650 and someone impatient may just buy it now for 650 and i make a few hundred stubs. Instead of a buy order. in theory this is how it is supposed to work. I do not have a lot of experience like the OP though lol.
