2015 Eastern Conference Finals: (1)Atlanta Hawks vs (2)Cleveland Cavaliers

I'll post the schedule later when I get a chance(On Tapatalk right now).

I'm guessing most don't or won't give Atlanta a chance in this series for various reasons that I'm sure has already been discussed.

All I ask is to at least hold off on the overreactions until at least after Game 2 and not after Game 1, lol

You know damn well if the Cavs win game 1 this series is gonna be declared a wrap Pack. You been around OS long enough to know how this works lol.

Anyway, there is no outcome to this thing that would surprise me other than a sweep by either side.

I think this thing is only going 6, my head is telling me it'll be Cleveland winning cause LeBron. But **** it, I'll roll with Hawks in 6.

LeBron is going to get all the calls. If Atlanta is going to win this series, they have to go up 2-0 in Atlanta. Going back to Cleveland tied 1-1 or even worse down 2-0 isn't going to do Atlanta any good. With all that said, I'm going Cleveland in 6
Am I trolling? Am I serious? Did Dennis Green and the Cardinals really "let them off the hook"? What about the children? Find out next week

Hawks in 7. This will be known as the Sir Foster playoffs.

I think the ECF will be a whole lot more interesting than the West finals this year. I'll go with Hawks in 7. Definitely don't feel good about that pick though lol

I would like to say Cavs is 5 because I think both teams playing at 100% would be a Cavs in 5 outcome.. But the Cavs have made lots of mistakes in the playoffs so far, and the Hawks are smart, sound team. I'll go Cavs in 7.

Going to stick with Hawks in 7 maybe a really close 6....don't think the Cav's can beat the Hawks w\ a hobbled Kyrie

Hawks will win one in cleveland. Going there doesnt bother me at all. If kevin love was playing we would beat cleveland in 6 but since he isnt we will win in 7, with both teams winning once on the road.

Once step closer to a ring after this series and everyone down here feels good about this matchup.

If Cleveland was healthy, I'd say they win in 6 games. Since they aren't, Hawks in 7. Cleveland has improved defensively but they aren't going to provide decent enough pick and roll coverage to contain the hawks.

There's definitely going to be at least two of those games where the Hawks just make every ****ing shot, it's inevitable.

The Cavs can easily sweep. The Hawks defense is dead last in the playoffs with allowing 1.02 points per possession, while the cavs are leading the playoffs in almost every advance offensive stat, if they keep that up vs the Cavs they'll lose all 4 games by 20 points.

It will be interesting to see how Horford does in the paint vs Mozgov. So far in the playoffs Mozgov leads the post season allowing just 35% opposing shooting percent inside 5 feet. He's playing the best defense of his career right now.

Not only is he changing shots, but his 7.5% block rate is the highest since Tim Duncan in the 2003 playoffs IIRC. The Cavs are allowing 90 PPG when he's in per 36 compared to 107 when he's out.

As for Korver vs Shumpert? Not only is Korver a known playoff choke artist, but Shumpert is only allowing something like 25% of his.mans 3 point shots to fall, an average of 11 under their season averages.

Plus the Cavs have a guy trying to make his 5th straight finals, playing a team making their first RCF appearance IIRC

The Cavs defense has played at a level that championship teams are made up of, but the Hawks can also get red hot from 3.

Now there is the whole injured Kyrie that should give the Hawks some hope. If the Hawks get Shumpert and Mozgov I'm foul trouble then they can take it to 6 or 7 and maybe win, however with the way the 2 teams have played in the playoffs this is going to be a short series and the Cavs should get a lot of rest for the finals.

                      I say Cavs in 4 or 6

I think some of those Cleveland stats are inflated by opponents though. Like Mozgov's rim protection. He has looked the best I've ever seen from him but he has also gone against Noah for six games. I remember Zeller and Olynyk missing a bunch of easy looks too.
Shumpert is really good on ball but I've never really seen how he does chasing players around screens. And if they have Shump on Korver, Teague should be able to take advantage of a hobbled Kyrie and attack the rim.
I'm also not convinced of the Cavs playing an elite level defense yet but we'll see how it goes against the Hawks.

Carroll is a very good defender, but LeBron is going to kill this Hawks team. They don't even have rim protection.

Hawks in 6. Schroeder and Teague are going to be in the lane at will all series long. Not to mention Korver running around screens causing havoc and Horford/Millsap doing work inside. Their shots are eventually going to start falling again. Part of it was defense by Washington but I was shocked how many good looks Korver and company missed.
