For anyone that has or has had Onyx Kobe, what badges should he have added to him that he doesn't already have?

I would go with Dimer plus Tenacious Rebounder or Scrapper or Flashy Passer. When you upgrade Drop Stepper to Gold you just can add 2 more badges. When you don't upgrade DS you can add 3. It's your choice. Dimer is a must-have IMO.

I sold him pretty quick, his release takes a while to time and comes with Gold Volume Shooter. I have better options on offense and he goes cold if you don't give him a certain amount of shots.

Any suggestions for an alternative for close to the same price?

I bought him for his shot making, defense, and finishing at the rim. Hard to argue with 90's in all those categories, and an 88 standing 3. He runs point for me so far, and the only issue is that shot release. I'm getting better with it though, I've hit a few perfect releases with him so far, but I'm usually slightly late.

It's slightly faster, enough to have to mentally force yourself to release earlier than you think you should. It's hard to gauge his body movement too, so it's basically just trying to release early every time until you get used to it.

Ive had Ruby Kobe. My roster is basically complete, but i want to add Onyx kobe and onyx lebron. I really wanted Onyx Wilt but he is a bit out of my price range, so if i get these 2 cheap enough today i can sell them on another day and hopefully not lose too much if i want to

to me, the shot isn't fast... it's glitched. It's just not natural at all. Wasn't usable for me, but you can try him out tho

That was the problem for me, online release was totally unpredictable and I normally don't have an issue with it.

for the same price you could pick your choice of a 89', 91' or 93' badged out MJ who really is unreal. having used all 3 of them there are very little differences between them even from behind the arc. i would 100% go for MJ over onyx kobe. especially considering that awful release

I totally gave up on onyx kobe when I realized this. Picked up a badged out '93 MJ and I couldn't be happier. I sold my ruby dunker MJ also. '93 is way better than kobe or dunker MJ, and I can use him in any of the gold challenges also.
Won an auction for the '93 Jordan with 39 Gold Badges for 219k mt I believe, sold my Kobe for 240k
