And I'm willing to bet that they will do everything in their power to get this added to FUT in FIFA 17. Gotta squeeze every possible dime out of that. I'm also willing to bet that we still won't be able to edit players without losing their winter gear.

While I agree, and absolutely feel your pain--you can't knock them for spending time/resources on something that makes them money.

If people want them to stop spending the resources on this mode, then people need to stop playing it, or more importantly, stop spending money on FIFA Points (myself included).

So you're trying to tell me that you're going to spend a significant amount of time playing this mode? If so more power to you, but I would guarantee you just from reading the comments alone that the majority of people could care less for this addition and if OS did a poll on it, it will be overwhelmingly in the favor of who cares.

I absolutely understand that they're trying to make money, but come on. Lol! It's gotten ridiculous. FUT is literally the ONLY thing they care about, now. I long for the days when we didn't have Ultimate Team/VC and video game companies made their money by, you know, selling VIDEO GAMES. I know that it's not possible or probably even feasible, but it would be sooo awsome if they released 2 separate titles. FIFA and FIFA: Ultimate Team.

One of the cooler things I've ever seen in a video game. Bout damn time of course, but really cool. As someone who is giddy for this World Cup, and loves the women's game, this is a great way to start off the day. Hope this isnt a one year thing, and hopefully, just maybe it inspires 2K or EA NBA to add some WNBA teams. I initally didnt know they had teams, I thought just a few big name players. I saw Delie's face and marked lol

Kinda lame that you can't use them against men's teams. I won't really get any use out of this because I don't use the modes that you can actually use them in, but pretty cool addition nonetheless.

And as a local Rochester guy, cool to see Wambach in a video game!

I believe the last time EA (or anyone) included womens' teams was NCAA March Madness 98. So it's about time. And besides, this time it looks better.

I think it is great. You should have seen the look of joy in my daughter's face. Soccer is the only sport she sort of follows, an she doesn't play sports games. Her immediate reaction was that we have to buy the game.

It went from a game I was going to wait for EA Access to a Day One purchase with the Women's Teams. I just wish they had every World Cup team in the game.

I'm pretty embarrassed for some of the guys posting in this thread.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if playing as the women's team will be a more realistic, tactile representation of the sport than the arcade crap we see when playing with most of the men's teams. I think it's gonna be awesome.

Yeah, a co-worker of mine who has a soccer-playing daughter had a similar reaction when I told him the news. I think sometimes we need to remind ourselves that not every decision in this world revolves around us.

Percentage wise I'd bet soup for beans that the ratio of gamers to non gamers is dramatically skewed towards the non when it comes to women. They never have and never will be gamers, just not wired like us. So why waste resources on a niche group? Because there's a World Cup this year? It's stupid. Besides, I'm married lol.

This will change in the future as gaming companies look to attract more women/family gamers with content geared towards them. My wife uses my XB1 just as frequently as I do and I'd imagine my daughter will when she gets bigger and grows up with video games. Video games, while still dominated by men/boys are getting more demographically diverse.

I'd rather have more smaller stadiums and more teams without those generic keeper kits the smaller leagues get.
