Baseball is better, and now bigger!!
Hey guys! Just played my first game on my new tv... its the sharp UQ17 near 4k 80 inch!! One thing even I noticed right away is how much easier it is to see pitches, and react to balls and strikes. What other things does anyone notice on really big screens that help you?1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!Tags: None -

I don't think my 42" plasma qualifies as a "big screen" anymore.Comment

Congrats on the new TV!
Glad you have a tv that is making the game "easier" for you to play.
One thing I noticed when I went from smaller to bigger screen was how great the game looked. Getting to see more of the field and like you how much "easier" hitting, fielding, and pitching wasI can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Om man, lol, I thought 80 was big!! I'm assuming you're using a projector? If I had the wall space, I'd do that too. The screens and projector are way cheaper than tv's.1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!Comment

I actually built and installed everything myself. I've since had offers to build home theaters for friends and colleagues.

Re: Baseball is better, and now bigger!!
This is good to hear from the OP!
I am anxiously awaiting a new 65" 4k TV to arrive this saturday. I was assuming it would be easier to see pitches than the current old 50" LCD I have right now, but it is good to hear that confirmed from someone else.

Congrats on the new TV! It definitely makes a difference... I use a projector as well (125" screen), and in addition to the added detail, there is less display lag than on my large flat-screen TVs.

Recently went from a 32'' to 58'' Samsung plus home theater, however reading the posts here my TV almost feels small already lol.
Wondering what size of a TV the other guys around here are using to play The Show?Spending time with Jesus!

I actually play on a 32 inch tv. I cannot play video games on big screen tv's. All my consoles are hooked up to either 27 or 32 inch televisions.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
