Re: The Top Six Ballparks in MLB 15 The Show

Not sure how Wrigley can be put on this list -- not a list of best ballparks in baseball, but a list of MLB15 The Show ballparks -- when such a major glitch like the foul ball boundaries exists in the game. Essentially makes playing there unplayable to so many people ...

I too would pick PNC Park over Chavez Ravine, but being coverboy Puig's home field, I can see how the nod went LA way.

The list is strongly biased towards NL west/central teams.

I can't take any list seriously that doesn't include PNC.. I'm not a Pirates fan at all, but when they built that place they got it right.. It's just too bad they had to built it in Pittsburgh..

If you're making a list only based the parks in The Show, it's complicated.. There is a big difference in quality from park to park, I'll bet they had different people responsible for different parks.. O.Co Colosseum is a joke in real life.. A big ugly boring monstrosity, but in The Show, it's actually fun to play in, they nailed a lot of the details and just somehow made it seem cool.. Same with Rogers Center, in real life the place is a concrete shopping mall, but in the game it's pretty sweet. Marlins Park is better in game, Great American is well done..

Parks that are worse in game than real life are Coors Field, Minute Maid, Citi Field, Safeco, and something seems to be missing from Kauffman..

        That's my 2 cents anyway..

I wonder how many others do what I do, go into a replay and track a high fly ball and spin and zoom checking out every detail..
I have to agree here. A while back I even mentioned how good Rogers Centre and Oakland looked compared to their RL counterparts.

On the other end of the spectrum, something about Progressive Field just doesn't look right; as if it was last on the list and was rushed. It still doesn't even have a tarp.

I'm partial to The Polo Grounds and of course, Marlins Park.

The shine of nostalgia wears thin by the 5th inning.
The seats facing the wrong way kills me at Fenway. Luckily, by the 5th inning most Sox fans have had enough to drink that it puts a lot of your criticism to rest. I actually bought seats to a Yanks/Sox game at Fenway one time and the guy sitting next to me was literally directly behind an I beam. Guy had to lean in my lap to see anything that wasn't a giant steel beam. I like the nostalgia of Fenway and I'd like to see them keep the place upright but it really needs total seat and facility ripout and replacement in my mind. That might sacrifice some capacity and revenue but it really needs to happen.

How can anyone actually sell this seat for $50 and sleep at night?

              1. Wrigley field
              2. Kauffman Stadium
              3. PNC park
              4. Fenway
              5. Camden yards
              6. Minute maid park

They would be my 6 purely by personal preference. Wrigley is the one which I always look to play with given the choice, great traditional park with so many details.

Great American Ball Park and Comerica are my personal favorites. Just beautiful.
