    Madden 16 Gameplay Question & Answer Thread

    As you guys may or may not know, I was fortunate enough to get about 35 to 40 hours in with the game this year. I will be answering gameplay questions from 630 Eastern time to 730 Eastern time tonight in this thread right here.

    I'm glad the quick adjustments for defensive matchups seems to have gotten in, we fought for you guys on that, wasn't in even the last time I played fairly recently.

    Running animations. Have they been improved? Do they look more fluid, show burst, acceleration?

      Thanks for taking the time to do this!

      I noticed in all the screenshots and videos I've seen, when throwing to receivers it shows button icons and stuff above their head. is there any way to turn this off? seems like a really big immersion killer.

        The new QB locomotion controls, if I read correctly, something like L2/LT to sprint out of dropback and R2/RT to roll out, does that feel natural?

            Thanks for doing this. Couple quick things---

            1/Shop thought so, but is Sim-A-Win a feature in offline franchises?

            2/Are you able to control multiple teams in an online franchise or just the one?

            3/Any post-game or wrap-up show for CCM?

              Are penalties like false start and offsides still tied to the fake snap? Or are there random offsides and false starts throughout the game?

                Yes but it's still pretty user based, although I believe the new QB animations apply to both and there are some new things with WRs. I saw a nice double move by Cobb. There is also the "get skinny" and cut step juke moves.

                  I doubt if he can answer that one, presentation hasn't been unleashed, yet.

                  Is offsetting penalties in the game? credit sageinfinate

                  Are user sacks toned down with better CPU QB AI?

                    Yeah I noticed that in the videos too, it's off by default on all-pro or higher. I don't remember seeing those when I played, but they are part of the visual feedback and optional.

                      Yes it feels pretty smooth, doesn't feel clunky when you dropback or roll out anymore.

                          has man coverage improved from last year? Does shading in man coverage finally work to help stop slants and drags.

                            Does QB speed overall seem toned down? It seemed like last year when you got QB's moving they still moved a lot faster than they should. Is the rollout more of like a half speed sprint a la Madden 2004?

                              Can you confirm/deny whether shading the coverage inside/outside/underneath/over-the-top has been improved? I got so irritated last year whenever I told my corners to take away the inside and then they got beat on a slant route.
