True Gang Tackling is huge! Can't wait too see how it plays out. If the physics are cleaned up then this could be a game changer.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 16 E3 Gameplay Trailer
Madden just can't get smooth animations. The trailer isn't as bad as the e3 conference stuff. But it's just full of sliding and jerky type movements.
The conference footage is here:

Re: Madden NFL 16 E3 Gameplay Trailer
This MUST be the number one focus next year. You can see from the developer blogs that theu are trying to focus on more realism..
With that said, they still have not found a way to fix the clunky animation system and locomotion.
For this game to look and feel fresh, they need to completely re-write the animation system for movement. This game needs to animate as smoothy in motion as PES soccer, FIFA, NBA 2K etc...
When that happens, all these other nice additions should look a lot better.
Two Key things for Madden to turn the corner:
1. All new locomotion and player movement sytem.(This includes a complete re-write to player movement AND the way they animate in motion)
2. Player Specific Traits and Animations- Madden needs to adapt the NBA 2K player differentiation system (badges) and add thousands of player specific animations for ALL positions on the field.
The animation and movement system has been the glaring weakness since 06'. If they can figure that out we may be on our way to a great football game again.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 16 E3 Gameplay Trailer
Question I got though, is that blizzard snow the only snow setting in the game again for like the 9th year in a row?
You figure that dudes who watch football and then make a football game for a living are gonna know not every snowfall is a doggone snowstorm.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 16 E3 Gameplay Trailer
The blogs have me cautiously optimistic. I'm perfectly OK with very minimal upgrades to the graphics if the game animates better and they execute at least 75% of what's in those blogs well. You looking at the Chair MAN!
Number may not tell the whole story ,but they never lie either.Comment

The WR/DB interactions look nice. Makes a big difference.
Are Nantz and Simms out? The commentary through the trailer makes me wonder. Maybe it was just a decision for the trailer.Miami Dolphins - Detroit Red Wings - Toronto Blue Jays - Michigan Wolverines - CANADAComment

Seen this vid earlier and facepalmed in my head at the same ole Madden animation stiffness and herkijerkiness (one word). Finished all the blogs, tho - Left eyebrow went up. I loved what I read. Rewatched the vid - Mental facepalm again but just watched the E3 conf vid - Ok, I can deal.Just cuz you pour syrup on ish....Comment

Re: Madden NFL 16 E3 Gameplay Trailer
I'm going to be as objective here as I possibly can be. The game looked pretty horrible in the trailer compared to what I played 35+ hours of. The game feels and IMO looks more like what you hear in the blogs. I spent HOURS in replay with Madden 16 just looking at the organic nature of everything and how fluid some of the new animations look, there's just so much to see that I could spend all day in replay and still was discovering new things on the last day I played. I'm not sure what's the deal with QB dropbacks but I know they felt different when I played than in the past, rollouts are a lot smoother, handoffs, just a lot of little things this year that added all together make a big difference. I'll just say overall keep an open mind, but the trailer doesn't do this game justice IMO at all. The other footage shown on the E3 demo was a little better as far as WR/DB interactions.Comment
