Which do you guys prefer and why?
In the fielding settings, do you use just buttons, buttons plus accuracy or pure analog. I'm using only buttons and I'm finding that I really have no control over how accurate the throw is. Routine throws turns into errors which turn into runs. I'm thinking about switching to buttons plus accuracy but not sure how hard the transition will beTags: None -

When I first started playing the triple play challenge, I switched over to button accuracy. I used the challenge to get good at it and I'll never go back. Button accuracy is to throwing what zone is to hitting. It gives you much more control over what the player does and limits random errors. -

Doing the community challenges is a great way to practice using itComment

100% agree with this, three games in a row I had costly errors while using just the button setting that lead to three heart breaking losses. I've since gone to button accuracy, it takes time to get used to but is a major upgrade. One throwing error in my other 7 games, now only if my dd player would stop dropping easily fly balls or run overtop ground balls I'm the alley I'd be good.

Buttons accuracy is what I've been using for a while now and I'd never look back.Comment

Re: Which do you guys prefer and why?
I've been an advocate for button accuracy, but yesterday I tried out analog throwing, and I'm liking it more right now. With button accuracy you usually need to look at the meter to get the timing right, but with the analog stick you only need to make sure you push it exactly in the right direction to have an accurate throw. I'm going to have to experiment with both for a while to see which I like better.
Edit:
After further review, I've decided that pure analog throwing is best for me. It's so much easier to just push the stick in a direction instead of trying to time the meter. I don't even need to look at what I'm doing, which is the best part.Last edited by Orange Krush; 06-16-2015, 09:22 PM.Comment

Re: Which do you guys prefer and why?
The only problem I have with analog is trying to rob home runs. I haven't been able to successfully do it in a game, but I have a community challenge that I use to practice, and I got really good doing it by using the right stick to jump. With analog throwing you can't do that, you have to use R2 to jump. I've tried the challenge a few times using this and I just can't get the timing down. I don't know what it is, but it's way harder for me to do it without the right stick.Comment

I don't know how to hit the cut off though lolComment

Re: Which do you guys prefer and why?
I have never been able to figure out analog. I've always wanted to use it for pitching but I can't get it right. So I've stuck to meter. I just wish if you missed in a certain spot on the meter you knew where the pitch would go.

Re: Which do you guys prefer and why?
Pretty sure you just hold L1 and hit up on the right stick. I think you can throw to any base, and as long as you pressed and held L1 before it should hit the cut, I've had problems with it though and I don't know if I just didn't hit L1 fast enough or its supposed to be a single direction or what.Comment
