I agree that trailer wasn't for the O'S type crowd, but the casual player who gets excited about the catch aren't watching e3. Save that for a commercial during the NBA finals. Listen to the first Microsoft presentation when they brought Peter Moore out. He mentions madden and he got a few golf claps. Nothing more.
I think EA could of satisfied both crowds, but I'm guessing (basing off JP'S claims that the game is different he played), the trailer is built off an earlier version of the game. Though I feel like u hear the same thing every year. GC'S say the version we played is different than E3, but when we get it it's similar. Then we hear how things had to be tuned or fixed or they couldn't get it in this cycle.
As I said before gameplay videos will show us alot. Usually ign has the clearest (not best played) demo of the game. Any idea when that is.

It doesn't look pretty, but Eli actually throws on the run quite well. Under Gilbride, the offense was predicated on a downfield, vertical attack. LOTS of play action. Consequently, many of these play action plays were bootlegs requiring Eli to roll to his right and throw on the run accurately. One of the best displays of this was in the 2007 season week 17 game against New England, where he rolled out to the right and hit Burress for a TD on the sideline. There are other moments like in that same season where he had a rushing TD against Miami in London where he looked like a turtle trying to sprint to the end zone lol. Anyway, on topic, I think the madden team has some more work to do on the QB movement, and player movement in general needs that major breakthrough kind of like what the NBA Live team did.
