Re: Madden NFL 16 Implements a Draft Board, More Like a Watch List

Nice to see this late addition because of Hard core feedback (Little light in features for us I think)

I like the Surprise and Delight, think thats also a very good way to go about it.

Announce the big features and keep a little on the side before it returns to complaints right here.

My only wish would be to know the future of CFM even off the record.
One day! Il be successful enough to get to visit the facility and contribute more

If you could see the actual list of late cycle improvements they made directly from our feedback you're head would explode. The leadership in CFM is fantastic this cycle.

That way when we can't attend a draft we can go online and set that up and move on.
I'd like it in the game also but I'd be just as happy if we got one via CFM web site.
I would be nice, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

There was a tease about this in Shopmaster's video about the draft board. Can we expect more of these improvements to be announced in the weeks prior to release or are we going to have to wait until the game is out?

Kinda bugs me that I won't get it until the 29th (UK release) while those with EA Access in the US get it all the way back on the 20th!

I'm not sure when they are going to "spill the beans".

I also think people will really appreciate what they are doing this year a lot more once they have the game in front of them and can experience the visual depth chart, player cards, new scouting, fixes to confidence and regression, free practice, and just how smooth and user friendly the ui in CFM is now.
I feel like there is more to CFM that hasnt been released or we wont find out until the game is out is this true?

As a long time online CFM/Franchise player/Commish . Dont feel bad, because honestly , i dont believe this statement he made to be true. No i havent played it yet, but one thing i do know about , is math. Which tells me, in madden 15 people had about 20 or more attributes they could scout ,based on their preferences they wanted to see in a rookie. So say you had 7 teams needing a MLB. Other than speed or accel, each one may look at a few different attributes, but not all the same. Now in 16, they will all 7 see the EXACT same attributes and nothing else. This will lessen the chances of good players falling thru the cracks. Its simple math. I can not see anyway this is going to make drafts better for online leagues at all. In 15 there was alot of chances of good players falling to 5th rounds , i cant see it in 16 at all.So to say doing it this way will make it harder in online leagues, is kinda a joke to me .

Hate to break this news to you,but Kolbe has already stated in an interview with Shopmaster. Nothing new was done with CFM website. He said , "anything you could or couldnt do from website in 15, will be what you can or cannot do in 16 " . This kinda kills me. They havent really done anything to the website in 2 years now. As a commish it kills me i cannot set owners to auto from that website or an app. They added a advance week button which works, so cant tell me other features like , autoing someone from website wouldnt work.As well as other things. I dont get why they just ignore their website.

If they dont want to mess with it, why not work together with Daddy leagues ,give them what they need and they could make a very functional website for online leagues . Heck their site already does more than EA's site, and does a better job at it as well. If they dont want to mess with the website, why not let someone work on it for them, that can make it what it should be?

Thanks, i know we are far from the only two who feel this way. Odd to me EA dont get this.Telling me its going to make drafting harder and more fun .... is just like saying hey over here ... . Sure ,if you want to say its making it harder in a 32 man league because we are now basically getting a new "cheat sheet" style of drafting , because most all the good players will be gone by round 2, then sure, that is going to be harder, but dang sure alot ALOT less fun.

Honestly , i dont just want to see commish have power from website or an app to put players on auto, i want the players themselves to have the power from a website of app, to put themselves on auto. They added the advance button two years back, time to add auto button. I literally want to pull my hair out when i get those texts , someone needs to be put on auto. Only being able to auto from console, works well, for when someone is going on vacation, but thats about it. 85% of times in an online league someone has to be put on auto, its because something came up ,and they cant make it home to play the game or auto themselves. It happens alot when your dealing with 31 other players in all different time zones, and all different lives.

It is 1 person who mainly does most all the stuff at Daddyleagues. 1 guy can make a more functional website than EA ( or whoever they sub that out to) . Im just saying, why not sub it out to that 1 guy ....Things could be much more functional which ,makes things easier to access..... which they say is what they are aiming for....

I'm not going to say it's easier before using the new method...but it sounds easier.

To give EA some credit they did input a sim a win feature which will greatly help online leagues. *If it works correctly

I frequently have to force advance the game when someone has forgotten to hit advance. This is fine if I'm on the console or if I haven't clicked advance myself yet as I can do it through the website... HOWEVER if I've set myself to advance then I lose the ability to force advance through the website GRRRR!

Go ahead and try to get yourself prepaired to be sure to turn off injuries every single time you "sim a win" and turn them back on after you do .

yes i had this issue once as well, but i learned not to set myself on ready to advance ,Also DL makes it so simple, i never have this happen anymore. My point was though, If that can be done from website to make game advance a full week, surely there is a way to make it so people could be set to auto from website or an app. The guy from DL could do it, if they would just open the door and talk to him.

This assuming all 7 teams scout the same players, personally I look for a certain size at MLB (more for creating realism than anything else). We also have to wonder if schemes will have any affect on scouting. If they do my top 3 and your top 3 could be completely different based on our schemes. Also remember this year drafting is done weekly or you lose points. 7 teams could decide they need a MLB at the beginning of the year and scout the top 3 guys and then in free agency 5 of them fill the need. Now those teams spent a lot of points on a position they probably won't draft and you can now try to draft that MLB stud later on. If they tune the points correctly this new system could work out better than anyone is imagining. It could be a risk/reward system that everyone wants, where you need to spend your points wisely and plan your team strategy out from day 1 or you will suffer.

That's the idea behind it, I've talked to the people who made it pretty extensively and the risk/reward system is what they intended for it to represent.

It all comes down to how well they tune it and if schemes affect scouting attributes unlocked. If they make it so you can scout 85% of the draft class or whatever was reported then it will all be a moot point but if the tune it so you only have enough points to scout 50% of the draft class then this new scouting system will be a lot more complex then people think.
