Re: More Madden NFL 16 Gameplay Videos
I really don't remember anyone reccomending a "draft champions" mode in a wishlist... Wish they just focused on making cfm better.

Re: More Madden NFL 16 Gameplay Videos
I like the Draft Champions idea, but it would nice if I could choose a non-NFL uniform. I feel like, if I'm putting together a fictional team, I should be able to select a fictional uniform. Seeing Cam Newton in a Pats uni seems more odd to me than seeing him a fictional uni I selected for my drafted team. Of course, I played All-Pro Football a lot so I'm probably influenced by that concept, but it's a reason why I could never get into MUT; not being able to have my own selected uni.
Saw a lot of good things in that Patriots video. Running game reminds me of Madden 25 which is a good thing because running in M15 is garbage to me. Looks like they addressed it.Comment

Re: More Madden NFL 16 Gameplay Videos
I liked how the linemen are driving their defender and sealing them.
Every O-Line seemed to push the defenders off of the LOS (Could be a good and bad sign though).
There was nice awareness with the center I think. He double teamed to the next level, then smoothly stepped in front of the linebacker to cut the lane off.
As for the WR, I don't know what he could have done in that situation. Past years AI would have made him run in front of the ball carrier to the end zone. At least here he could slow down any pursuers if the person with the controller had some stick skills (joking).
Not sure if these are improvements or I just want to play a football game lolLast edited by Datninja619; 06-22-2015, 11:45 AM.Comment

At least he bounced off of Brown instead of running right through him. I don't remember seeing any body parts clipping through other bodies in any of the videos so far. Anybody else notice any of this in any vids? Did they work on this in 16. I'd see it quite often in previous versions.
On area that I wish they would clean up however is how players walk/run right through other players bodies during the hurry up offense which is an eye sore when it happens. They've cleaned the rest of the game up but not this area. Physics need to kick in at all times. Hopefully there's still time left to fix this.Comment

OMG. I didn't even catch that. That's hilarious. I'd be PISSED if this happened to me online, but I'm assuming this is on PRO difficulty.

A lot of videos from E3 were on PRO tho, so, that is to be considered.
I just want to see d-line fighting. Even if they are getting beat, put up some sort of fight"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

My honest opinion (not trying to argue with you or anything) I think the o-line looks way overpowered, there is zero push by defenders in almost all the videos I saw. They barely even are fighting at all. As many others have said

As far as the WR not reacting to the play ... considering the fact that I've never seen an occurrence like that before, I'll give EA a pass on that one. You can sometimes have weird glitches/anomalies like that in a video game. If it happens regularly, then that's a big problem. But I have a feeling that was just one of those rare quirks. So I'll let that slide.
As for the broken tackles, I don't have any problem with Bell breaking the tackles, but I wish it looked more life-like. The thing that always gets me with Madden is that people look so stiff most of the time. If you watch his hips, they stay at basically the same level the whole time. When bracing for a hit, or trying to regain solid footing, human beings tend to drop their hips to lower their center of gravity. Now, in fairness, the hips do drop a little bit on the last collision and when he's trying to regain his balance, but not enough to look natural in my opinion. You also hardly ever see the feet go wider than should width apart in Madden, unless it's a juke move animation. It would have been nice, after the last collision, to see Bell stick the left leg out and plant in order to catch himself and stay on his feet. He sort of does this, but his feet stay so close together that it's hard to believe anyone could have kept their balance in real life. It robs impacts from feeling like there's any real force behind them.
I realize this is nitpicking, but it's the reason that the players in Madden look stiff and robotic to me most of the time. Better animations that showcase the bracing for impact, and the struggle to maintain balance after an impact, would do a lot for the series.
But to conclude on a more positive note, remembering where we were 5-6 years ago with the Madden franchise, things are looking a lot more promising now.Last edited by Pokes404; 06-22-2015, 12:17 PM.Comment

Re: More Madden NFL 16 Gameplay Videos
Draft Champions may not have been a community request, but they nailed it. Online head to head matches were stale with players only choosing Seahawks, 49ers and Cowboys. This mode gives everyone the ability to play with their favorite team without coming in handicapped......I'm looking at you Jaguars fans!

Agreed, but it's good that at least Bell sticks out his arm to shove off his teammate Brown, so at least there is that awareness that, hey, I can't just bounce off of my teammate as if I didn't even know he was there.Comment

My problem with MUT, is that majority of the community runs the same players for the most part. Tall WR, running QB, Playbooks (49ers, eagles, hawks, skins, NO, bronco). It gets old. At least with this new mode you need some luck to be able to draft your favorite playbook AND QB.Comment
